Looks like Frankel may have him pretty tuned up, if the last 2 works are any indication.

blackthroatedwind 10-04-2008 11:17 PM

I like Jibboom.

Little Belle is probably the worst horse in the race.

The field is hilarious......almost every horse is a turf horse. The Spinster should be a Win and You're In for the F&M Turf.

REally? I can't quite figure out what Frankel is doing with her. She runs a nice race sprinting on poly last year. Instead of bringing her back in a sprint, he brings her back at SAR in a route, exposing her on the lead in fast fractions, getting her beat when she was best. He then cuts her back on the dirt and has her chasing/biding wide, at the wrong point in the race. Now, he's stretching her out again, 1/16th further than she's ever gone. How exactly is she supposed to win this race? Not like Prado has any sense of pace on the front end. She's talented; give her a break.

blackthroatedwind 10-05-2008 12:45 AM

I think she wires the field.

Bobby Fischer 10-05-2008 06:45 AM

I think I got something to say to you
Its late september and I really should be back at school
I know I keep you amused but I feel Im being used
Oh maggie I couldnt have tried any more
You lured me away from home just to save you from being alone
You stole my heart and thats what really hurt

Bobby Fischer 10-05-2008 11:22 AM

Jibboom is in shape and moves well over this track. Can't toss. The questions are where she is placed by Prado, and how she likes the distance.

Cajungator26 10-05-2008 12:13 PM

I can hardly wait to see Albin run. :D

Danzig 10-05-2008 04:00 PM

sorry that albin wasn't able to get it done, hope he came out ok.

going with rosinka in the spinster.

Bobby Fischer 10-05-2008 04:05 PM

I was hoping to get 8-1 on Maggie. I think she is much the best here.

Carriage trail is a solid contender.
Jibboom has a big upside
Say You Will can add value underndeath
Rosinka can certainly compete if she doesn't act up

1 w/ 34710,11
471011 w/1
4711 w/3471011 w/1

wow 146.77

Pedigree Ann 10-05-2008 05:58 PM

Carriage Trail drifted out all during the last furlong to finish closer to the outer rail than the inner. Didn't slow her down at all. Had her in the Kee online contest, thank goodness. Was beaten by a nose and a head for the wins in the two turf contests in the contest, the 7th and the 10th. Bummer.

He is fine and came back with a lot of energy. It was an incredible day all around even with the tough finish and some posturing by Douglas as he tried to get off Albin to get on Bittel Road. Can't say I blame him for asking, but maybe he could have gone a little less wide on both turns and not basically pulled him up in front of the grandstand? Oh well...

Keeneland treated us all wonderfully and I think we stuffed down enough comped food (chickens everywhere should be scared of Chuck and Satan's Twin) and drinks amongst our group to recoup some of the entry fee. It is a great facility with great people and it was an honor to run last in a stakes race there..lol.

glad to hear that all is well with the horse, as well as with everyone's appetite! sounds like you guys had a far more interesting day than i did. i kept tvg on most of the day (except of course during the 'skins game) and kept wondering when mr b. was going to pick anyone other than the heavy favorite...

I'm glad he came back OK. Tough break, but glad you guys had a nice weekend. Wish I could have been up there as well.
