The Debate- what would you like to see tonight?
McCain walks up to Obama and says "Wats up my niggar"
Obama says "Why hello Senator McPeckerwood" .. let the debate begin...:D |

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! |
Coach & Hossy in a tag team match vs. the candidates.

Can't you do ANY better than that.......................... |
Palin and pretty much any of the Fox News babes mudwrestle...
|
Reagan and Mr. Clinton be the ones debating
|
I want to see something way off-script from either or both candidates. Perhaps the KKK, who will be outside I hear, can make a scene somehow, that would heighten the tension
I want to see both candidates sharp, on top of their game, and both speak naturally , feeling free to stray off I'd like to see Mccain's legendary anger I'd like to see if the other side is right, that Obama stumbles over words when not on script |
I would like to see Coach Pants and Timmigirvin dress up like Cletus and Roscoe P. Cotrane and yell redneck obscenities at each other.

These guys are actually answering the questions
presented. Not a whole lot of skirting the issues so far. This is quite impressive, even if they both are fairly poor debaters. They are actually giving a little history, and a little substance. This is a very diff. race compared to the past. Very. |
They are actually attempting to
talk about the issues. This is stunning. |
Spending a lot of time on foreign affairs.
Not where Obama wants to be. Back to things at home. |

Look I am totally unbiased...but I think Obama better check his shorts :D |
I think the other debates need to keep
the applause interruptions out like this one. I was trying to figure out why we are not getting totally pelted with sound bites and I think the no applause has something to do with it. |

It has been agreed on in other debates also but it does not stop the candidates going off in other directions. I think the no applause allowed them to stay on task. Both men should be applauded for keeping things in order. The petty stuff was kept at a minimum. |
i'd vote for both of them happily if one didn't have a dimmy stand in as vp candidate.
thought they both did great. national security was in mccain's wheelhouse and he did as well as i thought he would. a little frosty but solid on the issues. obama was a little professorial as usual. anyone doubt he would have been the first asked in a clinton admin to fill the ginsburg seat on the court? i still think it's obama's election to lose. economic winds are in his sail. |

And where is Mrs. Palin? Guilliani speaks... The omission is very interesting. |

Both candidates were good, I had a tough time keeping my eyes open through the whole thing. I thought McCain was very strong on foreign policy and national security. Obama seemed very green in those categories and even seemed a bit rattled at times. His inexpierence showed and McCain tried to hammer the point home. Especially about him not getting it about Iraq. Obama seemed to be better with the national financial agenda (but there was a lack of details by both men). He keeps trying to link Bush and McCain in the same boat (pretty good strategy). But, he just doesn't come off being believable/creditable to me (obviousally I am for McCain). Just too much slick lawyer jive. Also he is too concerned with America being liked around the world. Nobody likes us execpt when they need us to bail/help them out with some sort of problem. Then they want to be our friends.
Bottom line result for tonight, since no one really got into deep details about financial ideas and plans (bailout still coming and everything else is very vauge) and then the whole foreign policy/national security. I would say that it was a small win for McCain. |

It was telling that McCain had an advisor named Wallace speak as opposed to Palin. |

But obviously it is going to be tough enough for McCain to convince the public that he can change what has gone on for the last 8 years. Let alone having Bush's Sec. of State as his VP, so I understood that it just couldn't be. |

Oh my God.
I finally realized who Palin sounds like...only not as smart. Mrs. Lupner. |
Drudge Poll McCain 66% Obama 32%

It's too late and there's too good of a day of racing tomorrow to entertain a political tool like you all night. Peace. |

I thought an obviously very nervous Obama might have gotten the best of it but I can't get past the fact that McCain is as bad or worse than what we have now from a public speaking ability and Obama was so nervous he called McCain "Tom, Joe, and Jim" Why couldn't he get his friggin name right. Where are his speaking advisors.....call him Senator McCain for god sake and you won't mess his name up 50 times next time!!!

Any qualms I had about Obama are now gone. A very smart, forward-thinking gentleman who's not afraid to look his opponent in the eye. I like how he recognizes that the USA is not the only country in the world, and I much prefer diplomacy over war. McCain comes across like a 20th century war monger. We need to move on from that mindset (besides, we can't afford it).
