Just after you think you've seen it all in this game Jason Bay smokes a ball to left center field where Royals CF Maier manages to leave the ball on the top of the center field wall as it royals several feet sideways on top of the wall before LF Ross Gload does his best goal tending maneuver where he scales the wall and snatches the ball from the top of the wall like a basketball rebound before it falls over the top for a homer. Very unbaseball physics working here.......certain top play on the 4 letter tonight.

Beimel just hit Ankiel in the butt on a bases-loaded 0-2 pitch. This is after Ankiel looked bad swinging at the 1st two pitches. Maybe not the strangest play, but just plain careless.

I like Manny's non attempt to break up a double play....2 more hits tonight but booed like Bonds in St Louis. Why so much hate from the red folk for Manny?

Doc, the strangest baseball move I have ever seen was whatever Torre was trying to do tonite. Don't know how he (even with his green tea positive bullshit thinking) thought these two pitchers (Wade and Johnson ) were gunna hold THE CARDS tonite. It's so illogical that I can't begin to come up with an explanation. We are in August, and he basically gave the Cards the win by refusing to use the best 2 relievers available(Kuo, Broxton.) If they weren't both cripples then he has given away a game in a pennant race. He fkd up tonite. He fkd up, and he cost us a full game in the standings. I can't believe he is this stupid, but then again, he thinks green tea will cure major illness. So, he must just be this stupid. You can't win close games on the cheap. He gets too into these bad pitchers, and he paid for it. We paid for this idiot's infatuation with bad relievers and it didn't have to happen. Shouldn't be allowed to manage even 1 more major league game. Just get rid of him. That can't happen again. Take the job away. He doesn't deserve it. That's obvious.
