I don't say this to whizz on you ,KGB.................well maybe I do.

I'm kidding.

But I hold more for the guy who didn't have any talent and went to war...saved lives at the risk of his own until his luck ran out....or maybe someone else did the same thing, but their luck didn't run out and he came back to blend in with the crowd and no one knows about him. Except him...and he's good with that.

MDF....I agree with you, I hold those in the highest regard. I was merely relating a positive story about the young man the thread was about. Addictions are a bitch and the manner in which Josh is handling his situation is inspiring.

I agree.

I was watching the HR Derby with my dad and he goes "There is a kid that had the world by the balls, pissed it away, and he was given a second chance, and took advantage of that"

Mortimer 07-14-2008 10:40 PM

I know...I'm being a ca-ca head...but also would like to lose these kinds of stories because I think these guys are yella....and too lucky.

Mortimer 07-14-2008 10:42 PM

By the way...you may call me David...if you wish.

For I am beautiful.

I am going to stop posting in this before trouble starts.

Oh...gosh I'm sorry.

Unfortunutely many lessons are learned and you acquire the knowledge to make better decisions.

God knows you have always been there for me

Mortimer 07-14-2008 10:47 PM

I will accept this...and move on.

I just don't really see the story in the first place.

Not even partly.

What don't you see?

Mortimer 07-14-2008 10:55 PM

Dumb azz makes good.

That's it.

If you have to announce it to the world.......it's not a good story.

The best stories are never told in the first person.

Mortimer 07-14-2008 10:57 PM

These opinions are my own ...and do hint of a death wish.

I forgot and returned...please stop typing me so that I may leave properly.

Certainly can see your point of view. If sharing his story helps keep him clean and sober and can somehow have a positive affect on someone else struggling with the same addictions, what is the harm in that?

Please tell me that you are not taking Morty serious right now?

The best stories in recovery are always told in the first person.

James Frey's was a really good one.

ELA 07-14-2008 11:31 PM

Very good story. A real talent as well. Hope he continues down the current road.

SCUDSBROTHER 07-15-2008 12:21 AM

Watching this airhead chick try to interview the nervous stuttering etc. Josh H. was pretty uncomfortable. Every interview she butchers(all of them) is uncomfortable to hear. She is cute, but they must have to keep that airhead tethered to the ground(some how.)

Watched about 30 seconds tonight, but I did catch one of her interviews. Didn't really hear what she said....

Mortimer 07-15-2008 06:53 AM

Why else would she be on there? My bitch(on her worst day) is smarter.

On a side note, I love that Jason Stark called out A-Rod for not participating. At least someone is willing to point out what a PHONY he is...
