ESPN's Pat Forde

What a scumbag this guy is. Dara Torres has been tested for over 20+ years with not one single positive test. |

That is kinda sh*tty on his part. She's an incredible story. Really enjoyed watching her swim last night. Also...is Phelps just an absolute freak of nature or what? |
Phelps is a freak... the slow mo's of his giant feet were incredible. He is a fish.

What Forde fails to mention is that Torres is swimming against mostly high school and collegiate swimmers. She has an advantage in that her life primarily focuses on training. She spends over 100k/year on a personal trainer and masseuse. She's a FIVE time Olympian and skipped two Olympics or she would've more than likely been to seven. IMO, she is one of those rare genetic freaks who found the right sport and has excelled through pure talent and hard work. She deserves nothing but accolades and that article was an absolute embarrassment and further justifies my belief that Pat Forde is nothing but a shock journalist and fat, greasy douchebag. |
She's a man.

I think Pillow is correct. She has an incredible training program that is not like the kids. But she does have a large forehead. Maybe Forde is focused on that melon. |
Well it wouldn't be the first time.
Hillary begat that little pinch face---didn't he? |

And he accomplished that goal, on here anyway. |

Coach Pants insinuating that swimming is a clean sport is hilarious. Gary Hall has been involved in competetive swimming for a long time also. Ask him if he thinks anyone has used in the sport. |
Once again you're a completely clueless jackass.
She goes through numerous tests throughout the year. It's not like american swimming is fast in the freestyle sprint events. You would know this if you weren't occupied with being a pretentious clueless cu.nt on a message board. You insinuating Phelps using is slanderous drivel. It's obvious you know absolutely nothing about swimming. NOTHING. |

Imagine if she were your wife and the mother of your child. You see her bust her ass for how many hours a day. Or how about she is your daughter? Or how about if you were her? And she has NEVER been found to do anything wrong. She is merely a victim of her own success and the tragic failings of others in the sportsworld in general. I think creating stories out of thin air is incredibly unfair. Is it possible that she is a genetic freak? maybe? I think authors like this prey upon the doubts we have as a society. Its fine to be skeptical but couldnt he have waited until there was some EVIDENCE before he went and wrote about it? So now this woman's character is attacked. Are we going to start questioing her feminity next? Is that going to be further "proof" of her drug use or rather jusification to question whether she is on the juice or not? Because of the size of her head? |

Either way, i love your football picks. |

http://www.timedfinals.com/18062007/...for-july-18th/ Lost his world championship gold medal for testing positive for ADDERALL. Serious drug there. If any of these athletes were taking steroids they would be banished from the sport and quite frankly the testing is extremely advanced and enforced. To compare Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds to swimmers is beyond idiotic and horseofcourse is a vile, disgusting human being like Jesse Helms and I hope he gets ass cancer. |

You have a vast reading comprehension problem. But you are oh so cool which makes it ok. I have a teenage daughter who has been in competetive swimming for years. My wife swam competetively for years. I would venture to guess, I know more about swimming than you could possibly think that I do. Evidently, that is not nearly as much as you know about swimming but that is ok. I am personally involved in the sport through my family. I have carted my girl to more 5 am practices than I want to count. Considering I can't go into any of my kids rooms and not see a Michael Phelps poster really and truly make your posts on this thread extremely laughable. Mr Phelps is quite highly thought of in my household and for you to think I said he was a drug user in this thread is very laughable. You don't know me Coach Pants or much about me. But that is quite ok. The American women haven't been that strong in freestyle sprinting...but the men pretty much dominate. I'm assuming you were talking about the women not being fast as the men have won 4 gold medals and 8 medals overall in the 50 free in the last 5 Olympics. Considering you have over 8,000 more posts than me I'm not sure if I'm really the pretentious something or other you called me on this board. Perhaps that was just you putting your own predicament onto me. You'll have to educate me on that however. AS always, thank you for your terrific attitude. I appreciate the education. Carry on. Make another cool response. I anxiously await. Regardless, I am of the belief that not 100 percent of international swimmers are 100 percent clean. I simply think the Torres story is questionable. Hopefully I am wrong. I usually am...ask Morty. (My whole point to my original post was simply was that it was not invalid for Forde to bring this up considering the world we live in today and what has gone on with athletes. Yes, it may be unfair to do this to Torres, and perhaps she is the 100 percent all natural woman. But for a world class athlete to be better at 41 than they were at 20...25...30...35 is not normal by any means and brings forth legitimate questions. I do not think Bonds breaking Aarons record was an all natural event...perhaps it was...but I really don't think so. I question as does Forde that Torres doing this at 41 is all natural as well. If that makes me a vile human being so be it.) |
