I actually saw both races, that Tyson Gay was flying. As far as the other guy goes, you know you must be in trouble when you take a delay of game penalty in track and field.
|
Michael Phelps' performance in the 400 I.M. dwarfed what Rudy Gay did tonight.

400M is the most grueling race, I can't imagine with hurdles too. |
How did Wariner do?

The 800 m is somewhat of a killer also. The marathon is just plain stupid if you get a sprint at the finish. Ahhh its just plain stupid anyway. The day a man wins the 400m and the 800 m will be the day you see the greatest athlete ever. The diff. in the body conformation for these two races is amazing. 100 m 200 m, real muscular guys... 400 m they slim down a bit(except Michael Johnson), 800 m and they turn to greyhounds. After that, 5' 6" 125 lbs is about the right size. |

He looked very good. Totally solid form and then he shut it down early. He is a sweet looking runner. Very diff. form from Michael Johnson. He looks totally efficient. |

Wariner just didn't have it last night. he closed the lane 5-6 stager to within a step or 2 of Merrit but could get by him.
Merrit, Warnier, Neville. |
??
Huh? |
An african-american just broke the american record in the 50 freestyle at swim trials. Cullen Jones.
Quite frankly track and field is a roided up joke with nothing but thugs and eminem wannabes. Swimming is a sport you can support. No dopers competing at trials. |

the 800m finals monday night was GREAT to watch. 1-2-3 sweep for the state of Oregon. the winner is from a D3 school and 2 of the guys are from Eugene. |
200m finals are today and Gay is out. cramped during his semi-final and tumbled to the track. 4-5 weeks turn around time could effect his run at the gold.
crawford and dix now favorites in the 200m. crawford was Very strong yesterday. |
