I thought it was pretty hilarious though, I expect nothing less

MaTH716 06-24-2008 09:43 AM

I didn't like the Patrick Ewing reference.

Mortimer 06-24-2008 10:55 AM

Who friggin' cares?

Coach Pants 06-24-2008 11:13 AM

Larry Collmus should do a remix of that and direct it towards Stauffers.

SCUDSBROTHER 06-24-2008 11:39 AM

The one uplifting message:

" I got a visectomy( now I can't breed 'em.")

Amazing how he brings out the "white boy" racism:baby: , and gets a complete free pass from the media. It's common to try to say one form of "music" belongs to one exclusive racial group, and the media drops the ball when they let it go right by them ( usually because they are afraid they will be called a racist.) A racist-overweight 36 year old trying to be Kool, but the art form is child-like to begin with, and never has sounded well coming from anyone his age. Fact is it sounds best coming from teens and young adults. He needs to realize he is no longer one of those. Feels right for him to keep trying to rap, because he is still immature, and he still has the racism in him that he had when he was a teen.

The guy didn't have a problem with the racism Shaq used. That's a problem. Other people will eventually have a problem with it, and Smith is gunna have to be accountable for tolerating it. There are multiple reasons for overlooking racism. The main one is because you yourself don't want to be accused of being racist. The second reason is because you are racist, and don't see it as wrong(the racist comment.) Another possibility could be he simply doesn't want to hurt the relationship he has with other basketball stars(free pass is a career choice.) Whatever his reason is, Smith will have to be accountable.

Anybody that takes shots at Kobe is okay in my book.

Yet one more reason to tolerate racism(common hatred shared by you and the rapper towards a subject in his rap.)....A common enemy.......That's gunna be a popular choice here.

That gigantic douche should be embarrassed he only has 4 rings.

LOL
Believe me buddy....I don't tolerate racism.
If you want to read through the 'India shippers' thread for my thoughts on the subject, be my guest.

declansharbor 06-24-2008 12:16 PM

Whats actually B-I-G is the double standard this country uses and cries foul when it suits one's personal agenda. Had it been Don Imus spitting (probably raps just as good), the wood work would be hollow, whether he was ripping a white or black folk.

To me, Shaq is nothing more than a rich rent-a-cop, wanna be rapper who made millions by dragging his knuckles running down a floor, posting up and putting a ball through a hoop. He raps about as good as he shoots from the stripe.

As for Steven A, consider the source...He's so lost in Shaq's pubes, that you couldnt find him with a pair of hedge clippers.

You've tolerated it right here. He made a racist comment in that rap, and you said "Anybody that takes shots at Kobe is okay in my book." You neither condoned or objected (to his use of racism.) You didn't mention it(you tolerated it.)

Scuds,
I liked it better when you ranted about that deadbeat wannabe Turkish singing kid.

Not to move you off this but, you know, when you get a chance, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

Well.............................................. .................................................

..did he really say that?

I didn't listen to it.

And you're quite right...it would not be the first time I was called a effin' azzhole.

Now that I think of it......I don't know how many times I've been called that.

But it wears well----don't ya think?

I should be use to it.

Oh gosh ..I can remember it all the way back to kindgarten.Did I ever tell you I was sent off to the hole at the age of 4?

I was.

Only lived 3 houses from the school.....but I was only 4.So when no one shows up to take you home at he end of the day---it's sorta scary.

I don't think it was necessary to call me a effin' azzhole, but teachers got away with that stuff in the city.

That's why I think this thread is friggin' stupid.

That's a sign your uncomfortable with the particular discussion. You want to attack the messenger. That's what people do when they find a conversation getting too heavy for their taste. That's something my Dad would do. If a conversation veers in a direction that he knows people won't agree, he will try to change the topic, by attacking the messenger. If I talked too much about that Turkish kid, you would point that out, too. I don't know if the problem (for you) is the subject of the discussion, or the fact you think somebody is getting too much attention ( by having the particular discussion.) You're obviously trying to change the subject(stop the discussion you're uncomfortable with.)

Mortimer 06-24-2008 02:27 PM

I wound up finding my way back home,safe...by myself.

For those left hanging.

pgardn 06-24-2008 02:38 PM

Steven A. Smith is the same guy who said any
self-respecting black man has to root for Mike Tyson
over Evander Holyfield. (No explaination of why)

Steven A. has his own set of rules, so I dont think
anything he misses or says is very surprising anymore.

Shaq is just a big attention starved baby.
He got his big body shown at the Kentucky Derby and
then got bored again. I dont think he means half of what
he says.

lol. OK, thank you. I was not feeling great earlier today and now I know why. It is a relief.

I now know my problem. I will skip denial and projection phases.

What is my next step?

Please explain it to me as if I were a six year old.

Well, like I said, I don't know which reason (or both) you have for being uncomfortable with the topic. Your next step is to state why you had trouble with the discussion. Did you dislike the conflict involved, or did you think somebody was getting more attention than you would prefer?

Coach Pants 06-24-2008 03:02 PM

Thanks.

I suppose, perhaps, I am generally uncomfortable when the topic is a video that is 95% related to one man asking another man what his ass smells like.

I can't really be certain, of course, except to say that as long as it is not my own personal ass being the subject of another's inhalation, I really do not care.

I hope, trust and expect you are seeking recourse to have Shaq disciplined via efforts with the NBA, the Phoenix Suns and the Central Caucusus Mountains Regional Anti-Defamation League.

More changing of the subject. I was talking about Shaq's racist comment, and you objected to that. You couldn't of wanted me to stop writing about the fact "a video that is 95% related to one man asking another man what his ass smells like." You wanted me to stop writing about his racist comment. So, go ahead and tell us why. What you wrote above is fiction.

OK. Racist comment was very, very objectionable. I hope he gets fined. I hope he gets suspended. I hope Kobe NEVER tells him what his ass smells like.

Next?
