Then why isn't Einstein in your top 5?

i think dancing is better, he was 30 something to 1 that day, and was just starting to get going.

He has had three dream trips in a row. He's about as close to being one of the five best horses in the country as I am to being one of the five best players in the NBA.

When someone picked him before the race, I asked whether he was expecting a 3rd perfect trip in a row. After, I remarked that he was the male Rutherienne.
What an annoying ****in pair to anyone who even remotely understands trips.

They're killing me at the windows.

I was expecting a third perfect trip, and it paid off for me.

Another way of looking at it is that you're CLULESS when it comes to trips and got lucky and cashed. It happens. The best horse doesn't always win.

Hey, I mean, SHug thought the horse ran HUGE against Einstein.

Nice to see you're still going on about it.

He's right....in a sense. Considering his form entering the race, even with the great trip, he really stepped it up. His recent form, while greatly aided by his trips, is certainly a big improvement over his prior form.

I'll say one thing for his race Saturday, Douglas rode him like a champ. And, he's helped that the horse is comfortable, even happy, moving inside of horses.

Curlin is obviously the leader. I guess it's fair to say Heatseeker is pretty good. Divine Park is on the cusp of being good. I guess Benny the Bull is possibly the best sprinter but I have a gut feeling his run is over. Zenyatta does seem very good. Who knows where Big Brown is going though I am guessing that while they would like to run him in Saratoga there is a good chance we won't see him again. Harlem Rocker has a lot of questions to answer. Proud Spell is very good and Zaftig may be very good as well....though I will withhold judgement on her stretching out successfully ( though the Mother Goose may work for her ).

Not that he has any right to be mentioned anywhere, but I am very eager to see Unbridled's Heart run again.

I have a lot to learn, regardless of his previous trips like others have said his form has been getting better and better. I thought the race would set up nice for him to close, and I got lucky. You act like he is a dog who ran against all stars and got lucky enough to have that perfect trip. Douglas on him was also a huge plus for me.

with the turf division as wide open as it is, and it is WIDE OPEN....... dancing has to be considered a top 3, in his division, einstein is poorly handled and i belive dancing still has some room to improve.

cowgirlintexas 06-10-2008 06:56 AM

I think we ought to have a "Pick the top 5" contest with a naming deadline and whomever picks the most horses that remain at years end wins.

Just sayin :p

1)Curlin
2)Big Brown
3)Zenyatta
4)Benny the Bull
5)Magnificience

How does Tomshito, a 50 claimer, get on any of these lists
