Victor WATCH!!!

As of 5/27/08

0 HRs

horseofcourse 05-27-2008 11:30 AM

Do you think he can make it to June?? It is quite an accomplishment for a full time major league cleanup hitter to make it to June with zero HR. How many pitchers does the Indians cleanup hitter trail in home runs?

He is single handly destroying my Home Run Derby team. I have f'n UGGLA, who was only picked by 1.5% of the people (I think there is like 30,000 entries or something)

It isn't like he is hurt, I can handle injuries because usually my team always gets blown up, but this clown can't hit a home run at all. Just tease me and hit one, that is all I ask....

Mortimer 05-27-2008 12:03 PM

Victor Kuiper.

Wow.

He's reviving the season of "Han Solo" Brook Jacoby when he hit over 30 with 60 some RBI one year. (yes, that was 1987...Jacoby hit .300 with 75 walks...32 home runs and a grand total of 69 rbi. a bases empty master.)

Scav 05-27-2008 12:33 PM

Sir, it was between him and Barry Bonds...

I just wish he would tease me a little, that is all

At this rate HJ will have 30 and 51.

And hit .217.

yay

My money's on Bonds.

Mortimer 05-27-2008 12:45 PM

I believe he is cursed by Baron Frankenstein's primary squeeze.

Um, last time I checked, a baseball player, ESPECIALLY a catcher, needs healthy hamstrings, how stupid is this Wedge guy, shut him down and get him stretching every day and get him healthy so he can start hitting me some HR's

SCUDSBROTHER 06-02-2008 12:18 PM

Indians have a worse record than the Dodgers?

They're abysmal. It is quite possible the worst American League offense ever assembled.

SniperSB23 06-02-2008 01:17 PM

I wonder when the last time an everyday player has made it to June without a HR or a SB. Can't have happened often.

you mean, besides Freddie Patek?

but he wasn't a clean up hitter either

it is amazing though...he must be a basket case by now

Not just an every day player...an every day CLEANUP hitter homerless.

I thought Patek stole a ton of bases...like 50 some in some years??

Yeah, he did. Funny thing is at the start of the year it was the Giants that everyone was piling on for having such a pathetic lineup that they had a catcher batting cleanup. Now Molina is having a fantastic year.

Molina is having a good run but he is still as bad a cleanup hitter as there is in the majors. Outside of him and Rowand the rest of the lineup is still pretty pathetic.

Have you seen some of the cleanup hitters in the AL Central? Between Victor, Thome/Konerko, and Sheffield it isn't a pretty bunch. Meanwhile Molina is hitting .323 with 36 RBIs.

Victor is having his issues, Dye is now hitting clean up for Chicago (for close to 3 weeks) and Ordonez, not Sheffield hits clean up for the Tigers. Realistically Molina will wind up at .280 with 17 HR and 80 Rbi's which is pretty close to what he usually does. And which is woeful for a clean up hitter. Linecum has kept the bottom from falling out in SF but it is coming.

You are right on Sheff, that's what I get for believing rototimes. Thome was cleanup last game for the White Sox for whatever that is worth. After Ozzie's blowup it wouldn't surprise me if Pierzynski is batting cleanup tomorrow.

He did hit one off the fence in Texas when they played 4 games with a 35 mph wind blowing out and they combined for 35 runs every game for whatever that's worth. They moved him up to 3rd now...maybe that will get him one.

You could have picked Shoppick out of a hat and done better.

Mortimer 08-04-2008 03:26 PM

Wait a minute...I get you mixed up with Skids.

So solly.

Scav 08-04-2008 03:29 PM

Thank you sir....Negativity from you deeply hurts my feelings as I am trying to be a predator, i reallly am

Mortimer 08-04-2008 03:41 PM

I understand.

There is a Skids ,though...right?

Sir, that was me, and I am deeply sorry for stepping out of line.

Mortimer 08-04-2008 03:49 PM

Oh.

You know...it may have been my fault. They all know there is no end to my distasteful kidding. I kind of rethought it and decided that you were probably kidding to a point yourself. So I am sorry if that was the case...but good deal either way.

The ladies here all ( almost all.......well a few........darned few.......almost none) have a great sense of humor as well as adventure and I think I probably cause them some trouble by acting so outrageously.

But who cares?

Sir, thank you very much for your kind words, I feel released from my internal pain. You are the greatest internet poster EVAH, don't let anyone tell you different

Mortimer 08-04-2008 04:05 PM

OK..let's not get sarcastic now.

Perhaps you should drop Sighty a note just saying you're sorry. You can even blame me.

Really...you should have taken Shoppick.
