LOL at the PP for Eight Belles. That is poetic justice at its finest.

Ran once at Keeneland and lost at like 1/5. That filly has fooled me one too many times.

If she runs, toss Eight Belles, she might run third.

I'll be using Proud Spell on about 70% of my tickets, Golden Doc A on about 25% and 5% on A to the Croft....(%'s are focused on this leg being the end of a pick three)

Golden Doc A. Kent will win where he's supposed to lose & then he'll lose where he's supposed to win the next day.

I think the race sets up for her real well, and people will have questions in regards to her handling the dirt so the value should be there. I do think that Proud Spell is the horse to beat, regardless if Eight Belles goes or not goes.

I'm with you on Proud Spell, but my '25%' horse is Country Star. She's capable of running a big one IMO.

Yeah..what to do with Country Star. I find it hard to believe Frankel would run her if she wasn't 100%..although it is hard to figure what happen that last race.

So I've got the 2,3,4,5, and 7 at 4.90-1 from my Pool 1 "field" ticket. I like Little Belle quite a bit already, so I guess I'm set on my Oaks betting.

Elusive Lady is a kinda nice filly...but I gotta wonder about Kimmel running her in The Oaks....????

This is setting up as a nice race. I hope eight belles enters cause the payoff odds on the winner will be even sweeter. What do you all see as the pace?

A to the Croft ran twice at Keenland (either that, or ran once at Turfway and once at Keenland...I can't remember, but both were on polytrack).
She was short the first time, and had a terrible ride the second time by Robby Albarado.
She may not win, but I think she'll offer good value in the exotics, as I think she'll truly benefit with a return to dirt.

Agree that it's Proud Spell's race to lose with Golden Doc A as a viable longshot . . .

Love Golden Doc A especially if the odds are anywhere close to ML

Holthus just said on HRTV that the new ownership prefers Prado. He didn't seem one way or the other about it...Why was Ariege not entered in the Oaks? Does Frankel think that much of Country Star???

I kind of like Pure Clan and/or Bsharpsonata.
Pure Clan seems to be moving in the right direction and although Bsharpsonata has been changing surfaces and distances so often that it is a bit tough to get a read on her....I was impressed with her last effort on the dirt (at Gulfstream) despite the relatively slow closing quarter. She still might be better on the turf, but she is pretty effective on dirt too.
I think they both could be good plays.

I like Pure Clan as well.. Just get the feeling she's coming up to a big race. At anything near the M/L odds though, I'd rather use Golden Doc A than Bsharpsonata.
