Spitzer

What's her name????

slotdirt 03-10-2008 01:20 PM

I am guessing he's referring to this report in today's Times?

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/10/ny...hp&oref=slogin

Antitrust32 03-10-2008 01:34 PM

Not Spitzer!!

pgiaco 03-10-2008 01:45 PM

I guess the "Sheriff of Wall Street" needed his pistol cleaned.

MisterB 03-10-2008 01:46 PM

I was a client

MaTH716 03-10-2008 01:48 PM

What makes you so sure it's a she?

Antitrust32 03-10-2008 01:51 PM

I guess I dont understand how you make an appointment for that kind of thing?

"Excuse me, can you please pencil me in for 5:30 Thursday evening I know I'll be excited at that time."

philcski 03-10-2008 02:10 PM

CNBC saying he's RESIGNING!!!!

Linny 03-10-2008 02:11 PM

They keep referring to a "big bust." Pardon the pun...:D

if he resigns is Bruno in charge?

Is the NYRA deal set in stone? Could this change anything?

blackthroatedwind 03-10-2008 02:16 PM

He didn't resign.

ArlJim78 03-10-2008 02:18 PM

way to go spitzer!

Linny 03-10-2008 02:20 PM

I can't imagine he's going to stick around.

Antitrust32 03-10-2008 02:21 PM

Shirley the repub's wont let him get away with this. I mean if they can impeach Clinton for cheating on his wife they can probably do it to Spitzer, considering his act is illegal.

He's toast.

ShadowRoll 03-10-2008 02:23 PM

Not that you should take joy in the sufferings of others, but I wouldn't begrudge Braulio Baeza and Mario Sclafani getting together tonight and drinking a little toast in the governor's honor.

ninetoone 03-10-2008 02:23 PM

"Client 9"

I laughed

pgiaco 03-10-2008 02:29 PM

I think Joe Bruno just soiled himself.

Don't worry, David Vitter didn't have to quit when he got caught visiting hookers. Larry Craig didn't have to quit when he got caught trying to have kinky airport bathroom sex.

I really can't see how anyone could keep a straight face if they really insist he resign for it. Perhaps a Dem visiting a hooker is a bigger sin?

SentToStud 03-10-2008 02:30 PM

More interesting that he didn't resign.

Incredibly zealous Attorney General elected Governor caught on tape calling Dial-A-Date.

Fight on, Spitzer, fight on.

Considering he's basically a POS, I'd imagine he's taken care of everything already.

MaTH716 03-10-2008 02:40 PM

I wonder how a certain NY state senator that is currently running for president (who was endorsed by the soon to be ex governor) is doing this fine afternoon?

This must be the "red phone" experience she was alluding to

MisterB 03-10-2008 02:45 PM

I am sure he has called Bill for some advice on this matter

:D

Not quite the same situation as Bill's. Close, but no cigar.

whodey17 03-10-2008 02:49 PM

I always find it funny how the woman can stand by her man when this sort of stuff happens.

This statement is hilarious "The American people are tired of corrupt and hypocritical politicians. The governor of New York is just another in the long list of politicians that have failed their constituents," Nick Ayers, RGA executive Director, said in a statement.

I think she's hoping Bill is not "Client 10".

pmacdaddy 03-10-2008 03:16 PM

My understanding is that Bruno becomes Lieutenant Gov if (when) he steps down...

pick4 03-10-2008 03:18 PM

Client #9 was caught on a federal wiretap. Resignation is on the way. David Patterson will become 59th Governor of NY probably by days end.

#10? He's probably #1.

Bruno will have to be taken to the emergency room if his current condition lasts more than 4 hours.

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-10-2008 03:27 PM

What goes around, comes around..... his arroganance and now, hypocrisy has done him in. Remember, this is the guy who first went after NYRA as attorney general and used it as a platform to run for governor. I can't feel sorry for this guy at all and he should resign for the good of this state. No excuses anymore.... he made his bed and now has to sleep in. The sad thing is the people bought into his "dog and pony" show and elected him.

I live in NY and did not vote for Spitzer. After the election I kept an open mind and figured if he was honest about his campaign pledges he would be a good Governor. After the first 100 days it became obvious he would not live up to his words. I never expected getting caught up screwing around with hookers would be his downfall.
