US stands alone in defense of Israel

Today we utilized our veto power to block a UN resolution condemning their activities in Gaza; Bush spoke out blaming Syria for much of the current mess...it had to come down to this eventually! Perhaps it's time for Israel to take out Syria and end this mess...hate to see the bloodshed but it's obvious that we are the only real friend Israel has...well, if you can only have one, it's good to have the big dog on your side! I've been very critical of Bush lately but he's on the right side here imo!

Now I'm just hoping we can keep that f**king UN cease fire team "the Hell outta here".

On to Damascus......................

Thought Bush already declared "Mission Accomplished!" a couple years ago.

Not a chance Israel/US are marching to Damascus. None. Compared to the Syrians, the Lebanese and Palestinians are soft targets.

Sad the US has unwisely used up all our political capital and we have no credibility left not only in the UN but throughout Europe and especially the moderates in the Middle East. We're seeing Bush now taking a far more conciliatory approach evidence by his remarks yesterday that the UN Sec Concil has, "all the time they need."

I fell for the captured (not kidnapped) Israeli soldier and it's wrong that he's been used as a negotiating tool. But of course, the Israelis invite this tactic as witnessed by their willingness to exchange prisoners a couple years ago. Bad decision. Bad precedent.

So, first it's the Palestinians who get blamed for all of Israel's problems. Wait, let's toss in Lebanon. Don't forget Syria! And of course, we cannot leave out the Iranians!

You're hoping violence will end the conflict and Palestinians will become formal indentured servants of Israel. It's too bad you cannot take off your "lets turn the Arabs into dust" blinders and see that the true resolution is through diplomacy, compromise and sincere efforts to work for peace.

Bold Brooklynite 07-14-2006 09:56 AM

US stands alone in defending Israel? So ... what else is new?

Does anyone expect the cowardly ingrates of Old Europe ... or hate-filled Third World dictators ... to do what's courageous and decent?

I wouldn't spend one second worrying about the corrupt putzes at the UN. They're about as relevant to the situation as the Olsen Twins.

Once Damascus falls ... Tehran won't be far behind ... and that can't be soon enough.

"Captured"??? No, when the opposing army takes you prisoner you are captured, when you are taken by terrorist thugs you are kidnapped...lets not try and justify the acts of cowards, these are the same folks who blow up women and children and behead innocent hostages...they are not an army, they are traitors to decency and all mankind and to attempt to legitimize their actions is a disservice to all law-abiding people throughout the world...Arab and non-Arab alike!

Not only will Israel/US target Damascus, but that Hezbella thug that runs the show over there, and in Beirut, is as good as DEAD right now.

"Compromise and sincere efforts" are garbage.

On to Tehran.................

LOL. Really now.... are you a buyer or seller of resort property in Haifa these days? And the rope... very nasty stuff.... is it the same one you've been using in failure to try to strangle the Palestinians for decades, or a new one that might work? Israel has tanks. The Palestinians have sling-shots. What exactly is different this time? In the end, Israel will trade for their captured soldier. Did it two years ago. Will do it most unadvisedly again. Bad precednt. Bad decision.

Make love, not war.

The "Palestinians" ... a/k/a Judean Arabs ... have been used as pawns and cannon fodder by other Arabs ... time after time after time ... for 60 years ...

... and even today they're too clueless to realize it.

I feel sorry for them the same way I feel sorry for Barbaro ... a dumb creature who has no idea of what is being done to him ... or what his impending fate is.

boldruler 07-14-2006 11:35 AM

Israel should defend itself, but the US should cut off all aid to Israel and Palestine. There is nothing that the US taxpayer gets out of aiding either. There is no oil there, so who cares about these countries. In the big world picture they are about as insignificant as countries could be.

Get LOST pal! I'll have you know that my boss DIXIE created the US foriegn policy to the middle east when he was 8 and working for BA Jones. Obviously, President Bush and Prime Minister Peretz dont make a move without Dixie's go ahead.

Now you know why we have been so successful over there.

And by the way, Dixie DOES have a villa in Haifa. He also invested heavily in settlements in Gaza.

LOL. Really, doing double duty as a stable-worker and upper-level foreign policy advisor? Well, that's pretty impressive though it stretches the imagination.

If Peretz and GW need him (her?) so desparately, why does he (she?) feel compelled to make time to attack a peace-loving Arab-Christian who simply chooses to see the world differently?

I'm glad you showed up on this. You slay me. Glad to see Bold Brooklyn made room on the short bus for you. Dixie's driving.

There is no mistaking that my boss Dixie is 1000% 85 year old MAN! Have you heard about the chiselled features and catlike movements? As a matter of FACT, Juddmonte named the horse "chiselling" after Dixie at the behest of Bobby! You can look it up!

As for the double duty, your limited mind couldnt begin to understand all that Dixie's done in his illustrious life. He has a "worldliness that is beyond your comprehension" as the great bold one once proclaimed!

But how can you not believe that an eight year old stable worker devised US foreign policy in the middle east? Does it not appear to be the case?

You're busted ... or perhaps you're flat-chested ... but in any case ...

You really blew your cover ... not that blowing things is unfamiliar to you. So you really aren't AssttoDixie ... could it be that you're ... ummm ... that you're ... that you're... FUPEG ????

Please just stop.

You and Dixie are just pensioners (post office?) who seemingly cannot find their way out of a cardboard box much less offer anything other than "lets kill the Arabs" and "You're right! Let's kill the Arabs!"

As an aside, what's your favorite deli in Miami? I get to Wolfie cohen's Rascal House a couple times a week, but of course have an open mind ! Never tasted a better rare roast beef sandwich and the potato pancakes are to die for!

Taking a break to search all the right wing propaganda site's search engines...
looking for roast beef.

S2S,
I didn't know that they still allowed cardboard boxes on the side of 1-95.
Did they find a side road for the refrigerator box?

My goodness ... what in the world is wrong with me?

In the past year alone I spent three weeks in Sicily ... then three weeks in the Italian-French-Swiss Alps ... then three weeks on the Greek Isles ... in addition to eight days in Florida ... and four days in Saratoga ... with four more coming up ... when I'm not in my six-bedroom home on the fairway of a golf course ...

... when all the while ... I could've been living the Life-Of-Downthestretch in a van down by the river. Hey, Downie ... do you keep the van on tires ... or do you put it up on blocks?
