Kee weather changing

We've been in a drought here in central KY. But a little light rain today, supposed to be rain (moderate and intermittant) overnight, significant storms Wednesday afternoon, then rain overnight Wednesday through Thursday. Adjust your turf and poly handicapping accordingly.

sumitas 10-17-2007 08:35 PM

what's in the forecast for Thursday down there ?

BillW 10-17-2007 08:53 PM

Wet :)

well, it was supposed to be wet today (and yesterday too for that matter), and we only got a shower this morning...so I would take a wait and see approach to tomorrow....sky is clear right now FWIW.

Hope you're right. Being from Houston, when they say 60%, they mean 60% of the way up to your knees (and that's on high ground).

usually they mean it here too...but all bets are off right now...we would need a monsoon to get us back to normal.

paisjpq 10-18-2007 07:11 AM

Not sure if this will hold true for Keeneland but I did notice that speed held up a little better at Arlington after it rained...seemed to tamp down the surface a bit and make it a bit firmer....i'd be interested to hear from others on the form if that is true in their experience.

I imagine speed on the rail will hold up very well again today at Keeneland, as it did yesterday.

paisjpq 10-18-2007 08:55 AM

Nasty stuff. Hope all's well. We're not on Volo anymore, Dorothy....

Tornado went through downtown Owensboro about two hours ago. My house is two miles south.

Worried about my place in Louisville now.

Gotta love global warming.

jesus...I was just looking at the weather....it's about 30 miles from me now....that's a huge storm

Coach Pants 10-18-2007 11:51 PM

Be safe, Thebby. It's a major storm.

Bigsmc 10-19-2007 06:40 AM

Hope everyone got through it okay.

We could use some of the rain...no tornados though, they can stay away.

Radio said Pens got 7 inches yesterday. Gas up the Ark. Flooding?

Coach Pants 10-19-2007 07:40 AM

I think the Lexington area was spared the brunt of the storm. However, there was a stabbing at Keeneland last night. I hope Thebby didn't do it.

Groan ..... ;) Missed me, too, went northwest, just 20 minutes of heavy rain and wind. Hope Chuck is okay, he's in Louisville, it was nasty there, tornados touching down, and some nonstop rains.

Pedigree Ann okay? Pillow? Everyone else?
