Officer

Someone on here put a thread up about him the other day. I know that he has put out some pretty fast runners, but does anyone know if any of them have won sprinting on the grass yet?

I also notice that alot of his winners and leading earners thus far are fillies.

Jerry...the reason I ask is there is a Officer 2YO colt running Sat. at Colonial named INSIDE JOKE. He is out of the Kingmambo mare Hilarity. Just trying to get a gauge on how he might do going 5F on the grass. Only shows 2 works, both of them on dirt. 3F in 37 flat and 3F in 36.20

Have you looked at the PP's for that race???? Now way that horse will be 4/5.

GPK 07-06-2006 10:00 AM

especially with a 3% jock and a trainer that has yet to win a race at the meet.

Gonna have him as one of my possible horses for that race...depending on odds. They low % jock and trainer should insure good odds.

Buffymommy 07-06-2006 11:10 AM

Good breeding IMO. I say bet a little on him kev. Maybe WP bet. Does he have a big booty like Kingmambo? Ya know I love me some big booty.

Seriously though. I would say it would be worth a shot on his breeding alone, but like I said, that is just my opinion.

Im not worried about betting on him to make money. I am just looking for a horse in that race to use in the handicapping contest.

You always say he was your original "big booty" horse....did you used to live in Europe because he never raced in the US....

I like the looks of his workout pattern alot too. The trainer is not having the greatest of meets thus far, but he is hittinga 40% clip from 20 runners with 1st lasix.

Only prob I see right now is that he is 7-2 ML. If he gets hammered down, I will be hard pressed to use him in the contest.

PN is simaulcasting Colonial...so I'm going to bug the heck out of Dwight to get it on...may not be a problem with Monmouth closed. But those locals need their Philly Park.

Doubt it and I doubt that they will be quick to perform on the turf....he is from the Bertrando line so turf is obviously not out of the question, but he looked like a main track horse and I'm not sure he would have sprinted on the grass...just my observations....I suppose he could have been relatively effective on that surface but I'd be really surprised if he were better on grass....Because of his sireline, his progeny ceratinly have a chance to excel on the grass, especially the ones out of the proper turf-influence on the dam side....They are so good on the dirt so far though that I doubt they'l need to turf in North America for the most part......You have to like what you are seeing from his first crop....they are very good looking and very fast...
