Don't waste your money on Cotton Blossom, she has no chance. Either single Dream Rush and pick a couple up in other legs or use Christmas Kid instead...

Otherwise I like your ticket structure

justindew 06-08-2007 10:23 AM

If can't jump ship on Cotton Blossom yet. I gave up on Sunriver at the wrong time, and I'm not letting Pletcher do it to me twice in the same week.

blackthroatedwind 06-08-2007 10:23 AM

I gotta say, POINTGIVEN1985 pulled a very sharp one on us. He covered himself up pretty damn good with this Justindew character....but as always these multiples reveal themselves eventually.;)

If I did that then the joke ( as meager as it may have been ) will have been wasted.

Will you be at Belmont this weekend?

justindew 06-08-2007 10:28 AM

Nope. I will make the 10 minute drive to Calder to place my wagers, then head to my living room.

docicu3 06-08-2007 11:15 AM

Would that be the OTB near Calder??

Coach Pants 06-08-2007 11:24 AM

I gotta start blogging. Big money in that sh.it.

No. I will have to go to Calder Race Course. I live about a block from Gulfstream Park, but they don't open for simulcasting until 6pm. Florida laws are crazy.

Trust me, I don't bring a four-figure bankroll every time I go to the track. I only bet big when the pools are huge.

Just scan and upload your ticket so everyone here will be happy, and believe you.

EDIT: fyi, this is what the posts above are implying.

I know. And I don't care.

robfla 06-08-2007 11:50 AM

i've met Justin... he is NO PG1985...

P.S. don't scan a ticket, someone can cash a ticket with the serial numbers only, but of course you know that already

by the way, "I" didn't mean for you to do this... I was just saying. Just to clarify.

Rob, do you want in on this sweet Pick 6 action? If so, feel free to add your 2 cents.

Sunriver was trying something new for the first time, Cotton Blossom is lining up to get beat by the same horses in a similar race as she already has. Keep that in mind...

The alternative, for me, is to single Dream Rush. If I did that and it cost me the Pick 6, I would jump off a building. Normally, I am not afraid to get beaten. But on big days, I am.

Cotton Blossom isn't going to beat you, don't worry.

hockey2315 06-08-2007 02:53 PM

I can't believe that so many of the handicappers in the DRF don't pick Dream Rush on top. . . She really towers over this field. . .

KY_Sasquash 06-08-2007 03:03 PM

Dream Rush has a great chance of bouncing off of her last where she faced a very weak field-she'll be a huge underlay that i might try and play against completely. I like Boca Grande to get a nice setup and I'm not giving up on Cotton Blossom just yet-she had some trouble in the Oaks and I like that she's cutting back to a one turn mile.

She could regress significantly and still win. . . I'm obviously not playing her to win, but she makes the pk4 a pk3. . .

i agree, but just feel that everybody thinks she's a single and im beginning to think that its no lock.

IrishofNDMan 06-08-2007 10:43 PM

Don't know if this has been asked or not, but this is the same Justin Dew from the meet the pros on the road to the roses competition?

hockey2315 06-08-2007 11:32 PM

Ya it is

Look, I went "Asmussen-heavy" in Road To The Roses, and it killed me. Plus I got drilled with injuries.

I REFUSE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY PERFORMANCE!!!!!!

justindew 06-09-2007 09:36 AM

I'm seriously considering adding Dealy Dealer to my ticket. I will update before the race, in the interest of honesty.

justindew 06-09-2007 01:31 PM

Final Ticket

In the interest of honesty, I want to say that my Pick 6 ticket has undergone some changes. Two Derby Trail posters, both of whom shall remain nameless, convinced me to add 2 horses.

I have had a horrible last six months at the windows, so I figure it's time for me to break out in a big way. If I lose, I'm done...

....until Saratoga.

YOu are 100% right. But I just led off with a 10-1 shot winner. So I'm feeling lucky.

On second thought, disregard that. I don't want to jinx it.

If JD is not PG1985, then they must live in the same neighborhood. JD is definitely in the team photo.

I couldn't have been more wrong on her chances. Nice call. Basically broke my day...
