Fabulous Congrats Hono.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-28-2007 06:50 PM

Bigsmc 05-28-2007 06:54 PM

A credit to the game.

Fabulous

letswastemoney 05-28-2007 06:57 PM

I lost the pick 3 because of him! I had the 5th and 6th races. I didn't have the Tin Man though. I had Right Special and Kip Deville :(

hockey2315 05-28-2007 06:59 PM

Didn't see the race- what happened to Kip?

Well I think the mush was on. The TVG analysts were calling him the best turf miler in the country repeatedly. Thanks to them I went deep in the race to start the pick 4.

Caught behind a wall of horses with no where to go.

Kip was behind a wall and never had a place to run. I also think that he might of hit the top of his form cycle in his last win. Alittle time away from the track is in order.

Rileyoriley 05-28-2007 07:18 PM

So happy for all his connections!

Honu 05-28-2007 07:21 PM

Thanks everyone , he got some tears out of me today , what a dude .

congrats, it must have been a special feeling. :)

Great....

Performance from The Tin Man, he is fun to watch! Kip Deville just got trapped in by a wall of horses, had no place to go. Talamo on Willow O Wisp improved that one to a 3rd, and Get Funky ran a pretty good one too. But The Tin Man was much the best!

so a break will give him room to run next time?:D

I do not think he had room to split anything. In fact he tried to go outside any there was nothing there either. Mig just put him in a black hole with no where to go.

Well then you and Crystal must have been a blubbering pair. :D What a man!!! Some horses just have IT, and he has IT!!

MaTH716 05-28-2007 09:35 PM

No I have not. From the regular replay it looked like he had nowhere to go. Where did you see the head on? Where did he have the hole?

First of all, thank you. What a great site. It looked like Chinese Dragon filled the hole on the rail on the turn at the top of the stretch. The only other hole I see is about at the 1/16 pole and he is out of horse at that point. He had a garden trip most of the way, maybe he just didn't have the horse today. Personally I think he just had nowhere to run.

Anyone that left him out and used Right Special deserved to be out of the pick 3. He was an absolute single in any play. Kip @7-5 and Tin @ 7-2 was exactly the opposite of what the odds should have been. $9 against that field was the biggest gift I've seen in a while.

Did you teach Victor how to ride?

He did a great job trapping Kip Deville long enough that when he made his move other horses crept up and slammed the door shut. Very good job by Espinoza.

Got to give the jocks credit everyonce in a while. A bit of luck also required as Kip Deville had no place to go in the stretch after Victor shielded the outside earlier.

Deville had already lost the race by the time he had the room. He had already lost momentum with the slight check imo looking at the head on and looking at it in normal mode.

Congrats,Honu! Game horse too:D

If you really watch his last 4 races you will see that he has reached a peak in his form cycle. Even with the fact that he never saw running room I think it's been along 3 and 4year old season for Kip and a rest is in order.

TTM is the first 9 year old to win a Grade 1 in 23 years. The last was John Henry. Pretty good company.

Jus a little morning after update, Tinny looked great this morning , jogged perfect on a shank and I think he has more dapples today than he did yesterday. We were out of carrots this morning so he got some sugar and a peice of a donut , I feel really lucky to have the chance to work with this horse, he is a once in a lifetime special animal .

You are lucky, there are not many that come along like him.
You should feel proud of being part of a team that has helped him do what he has done.

sumitas 05-29-2007 03:33 PM

Congrats to all on the historic run. It was a thing of beauty.
