But not quite as high on the list as the trip to the Kentucky Derby the year after I finish studying. Already saving up for that even though it's still 4 years away. |

Those of you that list Garden State Park date themselves. The one that lists Keystone really dates themself.
And Byk...what, no Timonium? It's only been running since the late 1800s. You should do an ATRAB show there, live from the state fair. |
I've been to:
Laurel Bowie Pimlico Timonium Marlboro Rosecroft (Harness) Laurel Raceway (Harness) Penn National Philly Park Delaware Park Charles Town Shennandoah Colonial Atlantic City Aqueduct Churchill Downs Keeneland Wheeling Downs (woof) Peachtree Downs Ak-Sar-Ben Cheyenne Frontier Days Wild Horse races Guess I need to get out more...... |
Cardus,
Yeah, Belgium was easy. I lived there for a little over 4 years. The best part was having the opportunity to visit some really nice tracks throughout Europe. Asia and South America are not quite on the short list, but I'll get there eventually. This year's venture is Ireland, '09 is a swing through Switzerland, Italy and southern France, and '10 is a run through Victoria (Melbourne), Australia. Scav, It's been great fun. Been at it for a little over 30 years. Much as I love racing here in the US, it can be a little boring (left turn, left turn, finish). Hopefully, you'll have the chance to catch some racing abroad and see some really unique layouts. |
I can't compete with some of the lists on here, but I haven't been into racing nearly as long as some of you (scanman's list is INCREDIBLE), but I've been to most of the "major" tracks out east..

I need to get my list to your size..... |
My list
Arlington
Hawthorne Sportsmans (I think) Keeneland Old Gulfstream |
At first I was like...What's the point of this thread? Then I realized that other than being interesting, it was one more thing I could have my wife look at on here to help prove to her that there are people out there worse than me when it comes to gambling on horse races.

Yeah, I'm pretty much a track junkie. I like the excitement of visiting a new/different track (adventure, setting, betting opportunities, cultural experience). For the near future, I'm stuck in "hot as can be" Orlando. So for the next 5-6 months, we'll have 90 degree, with 90% humidity. I need to have something to look forward to. I try to get away once a month. I have about 22 "new" tracks on the schedule for this year. Heading out to Canterbury and Arapahoe next month. |
Suffolk Downs
Belmont Saratoga Aqueduct Delaware Park Pimlico Laurel Colonial Downs Tampa Bay Downs Have some plans to visit the new track in Erie, PA this fall and lest I forget where I placed my first wager ever, RAYNHAM TAUNTON GREYHOUND PARK  |
