Oh, my bad ... the Browns are on the clock!
They better get Adrian Petterson for real. |
ESPN is one big commercial. In defense of Sportscenter....the banter between hosts is usuall the best part.

So you guys don't wanna tear apart my mock draft based on all the "info" and other mock drafts that have been crammed down my throat from ESPN, FSN, S.I., Sports radio, bloa bla bla bla?
I will throw this nugget of speculation out there though: IF ANYONE TRADES OUT TO PICKS #1 OR #2 OVERALL, IT'LL BE MIAMI. Why? They can offer up the 9th pick in the first round, plus they have 2 second rounders this year. If they throw in a 2nd rounder next year, it might be enough to get the deal done. I think Oakland would be more likely to take it than Detroit, but either team I could see doing it. Here's why Miami should do it. They need a QB really bad. Do they really plan on rolling with Cleo Lemon again? They have a new coach in Cam Cameron, who was the former O-Coordinator at San Diego. He could groom a rookie QB under his new system. MIAMI NEEDS THE NEXT MARINO! They have the picks to move up. So eventhough the chances are small of it happening, if it's anyone, it'll be them. |

if you guys don't listen to espn radio all day, DON"T start in the next 3 days!
i don't know how much more brady quinn lovefest i can take. |

It would seem that Oakland MUST get a QB, the ones they have are...well...pathetic comes to mind. They could trade down if they could still get Quinn. Detroit may hesitate taking another WR so high, I'd think they'd be more open to trading down but that would probably put Miami in the position of taking Quinn with the second pick...pretty high! It will be interesting. The Redskings have one pick in the first 5 or so rounds so they better make it count...I suspect it will be the safety or DE. |

How can I drink a pint of Guiness without knowing who is moving forward in the next bracket ? :p |
I hate it when all the mock drafts have your team picking the same guy and you get yourself all psyched up for him and then two days before the draft you start hearing that he might be gone before they pick. That looks to be the case with the Bills and Patrick Willis right now. Tampa will consider him at 4 if Johnson is gone, San Fran may take him at 11, and Denver might trade up somewhere between 4 and 11 to get him. I'd really love to see him fall to the Bills at 12.
|
I think there will be a lot of trading going on...epsecially in the first 10 picks.

Brady Quinn Dropping to 22ND
I guess NFL scouts weren't impressed with Brady Quinn beating up on Navy, Army, and Air Force. Now I will watch my Steelers make him cry Mommy Mommy when they are breathing down his @ss.
|
nobody needed him til miami, after the raiders went with russell--and miami had to have suffered collective brain farts to pass on him. they have to know something we don't.

It appears Miami likes the kid from BYU, maybe they will be right...time will tell. The remarks by NASCAR I don't understand...I root for the Redskins but I don't feel the need to belittle players on other teams...maybe I'm missing something! |

nascar is a notre dame hater, he has been since ive seen him on here. His remarks about Quinn and ND are very bias, so take em with a grain of salt.
|
Quinn remark might be considered biased but very truthful. He might be better that Russell and if he does better than him I will give him the praise that he deserves. Until then Quinn is still over rated and over hyped.

I think it funny how people can say that a team did well or did not do well in the draft. Look back at the grades that teams have gotten and 3 or 4 years later most of the great drafts weren't and some 5th rounder that no one heard of is an all pro. Football players are much harder to analyze than basketball players.

Cannon you are so correct. With that said I am very pleased with the Eagles picks today.
And my friend Sabby going to TB w/ the last pick in the 2nd round!!!! Go birds.. |
I dunno how anyone can be happy with the Eagles picks. Kolb???? What the heck is he going to do for the Eagles?????? Maybe 7 years from now he will help them, but def. not in the near future. D-Nabb anyone????
