A-rod.....

AMAZING 9 homeruns in 13 games, this guy is possibly the best player of all time, last year he had a bad year, but a bad year for him is a career year for 90% of players in the game.

Storm Cadet 04-18-2007 10:09 PM

A-ROD Mr. APRIL

Storm Cadet 04-19-2007 08:21 AM

timmgirvan 04-19-2007 04:03 PM

I think he's gonna have a great year....but the pitching staff isn't looking too healthy right about now!

Always suspicious when eyesight improves this way.Is he seeing the ball better while fielding the ball too?

timmgirvan 04-19-2007 10:59 PM

Maybe he got new contacts!

Dude...I am fairly certain HGH does nothing for the eyes! The guy has HOF numbers.... This just in..ARod ..3 run walk-off homer to win game!!

Believe it if ya want. Gary Matthews Jr. just became all the sudden good after getting HGH in 2004? COINCIDENCE? Fact is they don't test for it.Why wouldn't he use it if he thought it was that ,or be in the minors. This guy is in his early 30's.I think many people don't realize that.He is not a youngster getting good.He is a 31 year old( or so )guy that found something. You can't tell a liar? That guy is like an animal in headlights when asked about the HGH he got from a pharmacy.

Someone told me Barry Bonds has gone up two full shoe sizes in the past 5years. I know his head is far more huge. Not just more jowly, but his entire head. That ain't natural.

GPK 04-20-2007 08:31 PM

wake me in August..Sept...October, if he is hitting them then...when they count.

saucon17 04-20-2007 09:15 PM

Like I said, your only play is to call it a coincidence.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-21-2007 12:36 AM

Well,I have seen you go on and on with people on here in endless fights.IF you want to think HGH doesn't aid performance much, then keep believing it. I am not saying it's a horrible substance, but lets get a level playing field here.

timmgirvan 04-21-2007 12:49 AM

I have a limited experience with HGH back in the 80's...and I feel comfortable calling it a quasi-placebo, minimal effect on the procedures we were involved in Hospital programs.

Did you study athletes with the high levels that athletes are now taking? I mean if you give joe the jeweler a lot of hgh he still isn't gunna be looking like an athlete would. This HGH is in all of us,but we lose it.So,if you just adjust the level back to the level one had in their teens, then you would be trying to have the body you had back then.I don't think athletes are trying to do this. They are using way more than a therapeutic amount.Look at Sean MACHEEL (GOLFER) who was out of energy, and was found to have low testosterone levels. The Man has come to life when putting that testosterone cream on.Saved his career. If athletes just used enough hgh to get to a level they had in their teens etc, then this wouldn't be a huge deal.I don't think this is gunna be an issue that much longer, because they will move on to something that is new,and more powerful.

timmgirvan 04-21-2007 04:50 AM

Good for Micheel! Anyone over 30 should have their testosterone checked...low levels inhibit sex drive, increase belly fat, osteoporosis! I would like to know what any athlete is thinking when messing with HGH. What proof do they have that they'll gain anything by using the stuff?

byalip 04-21-2007 08:25 AM

The whole set up of that game was bee-yoo--tee-ful.

Just to see ARod and the Yanks wipe those smirks off their faces when Okajima smoked 3 in a row after first short pitch.....worth a million.

ARod was so arrogant at that point--assuming he got a walk--and to see him get a weak little flare....worth 2 million

Watching Torre turn his usual shade of gray when disgusted.....priceless.

His numbers were starting to hint at this last year as his strikeout rate was way lower than it had been. The Scutaro HR came on a non cutting cutter. Guys are getting around on him, not taking defensive swings. He cant seem to control the inside part of the plate as he did during his dominance.

How much they owe him? This his last year on contract?

O.K.,SO THEY ARE ADMITTING THAT THEY HAVEN'T HAD STUDIES OF LARGE DOSE HGH ON ATHLETES.Let's assume it only does what most everybody admits it does.........chew up fat,and increase muscle definition. WTF is the 1st thing any cow losing weight will say when they start losing fat? ........."I FEEL GREAT".................LOL,you don't think that these guys feel more confident about themselves when they have "the look" they want? Confidence is strength. One way or the other this stuff produces strength(whether it be through muscle tissue,or brain tissue....... either way.)

I believe that has played for the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers before the Yankees and I also believe that those 2 teams have combined for zero titles during there entire existences. Being on a championship team is just pure luck in most cases. If Jeter had been drafted by the Reds instead of the Yankees he'd be working on his 1st one too.

I gotta disagree. Jeter was always clutch and found ways to make his team win. Arod alway folds up in big spots. Maybe this will be his year but I want to see it in the Fall.
