none of my business but in the 2nd at tampa you used 4 horses in the win position and 4 different horses in the second slot if you like the ist 4 horses why dont you think one of them can come in 2nd never saw anyone bet this way but its your money:)

whodey17 04-16-2007 12:28 PM

$70.20 on that super. UNREAL. Returned $702 on that one. Now we are on our way.

Hi Cassie, well often I try to play the race out in my mind. I try to picture what will happen. The horses I liked to win were not horses I thought would come in 2nd and vice versa. The race was run exactly how I thought. I thought the 8 would get the lead and then fade to 2nd, I thought the 7 horse would close and may have a chance to pass the 8. I also thought the same with the others I listed on top. I was just wrong.

All right. Got to love Otto. I think the exacta pays $20 so $80 profit is OK.

Not really. I actually LOVE Beulah for some reason. I like small fields and they seem to pay ok there. I have done OK at Tamps but it isnt my fav track to play.

Hip Hip Jorge, Hip Hip Jorge--that commercial is funny. Anway, we hit the super. A $72 play returned us $1297.70. This leaves us with a daily profit of $1301.90. I guess I will call it a day,

Bar stories

I think this cat likes to impress us with his "Bar Stories" or tall tales.
Doesn't really have a sensible pattern here, but hey it's his story, let him tell it the way he want.

Whodey......If you are actually placing these bets....then CONGRATS! You are one crazy mofo! Totally random bets on the next track running must be fun though.

Yes I am actually placing these bets. I can see where one views this as random bets. But I search for value in a wager. Value is where I am consistant. 95% of the time I am an exacta bettor. However, today I found value in a superfecta wager. You can go back through all my wagers and prob will only see 3 supers. Most are exactas, then comes trifecta. I have never been or will be a win bettor or a pick 3 or pick 4 bettor. I really focus on a few tracks, Beulah (my fav), Keeneland and Aqueduct.

Why is it when someone wins people question them, but when someone loses no one says a word. I share my wagers because I feel they are good wagers. I don't expect people to wager the dollar amount I do but I feel my method is a good one. Again, we all love this sport and if you one can win then we should celebrate their achievement.

Thank you Thoroughbred Fan. I love seeing people's selections regardless if they wager. I love to read a philosophy in why someone picked a particular horse or how one structured their ticket. There are so many great handicappers and ticket structure people out there that we should be reaching out to each other so we can all be winners.

Yes I understand. Usually when I say I have no opinion it means that I do not care of the race. Which could mean that I dont feel confident that one particular horse could win. Rarely do I have an opinion. When I do, I usually will say the horse(s) that I like. Rarely will you see me single a horse on top in an exacta or trifecta.

Thank you very much. The fun ends May 8th. That is when I go back to work.

IrishofNDMan 04-16-2007 09:20 PM

Whodey, I read all your bets at the end of the day and check the results on equibase. It looks like you do pretty good, I might have to follow your bets a day, but obviously with a lessare money amount. Your $20 exactas will probably be $2-10 exactas for me.

Thanks Irish and we can work together to make some money. Maybe you will see something that I dont in a particular race. I would suggest wagering as little possible. It takes patience and a good attitude. I will be doing this until May 8th.
