Romney's VP choice

Who will it be? He will be in VA Saturday.

Quote:

Some speculate that the jaunt has the makings of a vice presidential rollout, just weeks before the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.
My guess is Rubio for obvious reasons...and the rest of the field is weak.

What ever happened to J C Watts? Thought he was a great speaker and would go higher in GOP. All-American QB to boot..

Quote:

Watts delivered the Republican response to Bill Clinton's 1997 State of the Union address and was elected Chair of the House Republican Conference in 1998. He retired in 2003 and turned to lobbying and business work.
Why? :$: I guess.

How about a guy who graduated from West Point in 1974, earned the General George C. Marshall Award as the top graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College Class of 1983 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Subsequently earned an M.P.A. in 1985 and a Ph.D. degree in international relations in 1987 from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, then served as an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the U.S. Military Academy from 1985 to 1987. His doctoral dissertation was entitled "The American Military and the Lessons of Vietnam: A Study of Military Influence and the Use of Force in the Post-Vietnam Era". Then completed a military fellowship at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in 1994–1995.

A man who was nominated to head the CIA by President Obama and was confirmed by the Senate 94-0 (wonder who the 6 holdouts were).

Is there such a man or is this a myth?

Fortunately for America there is such a man!

I have no such choice as Biden would be worse than Obama IMO

Geezus Tapdancing Christ this man Biden gave less than 100 bucks to charity over a year he made a quarter million. Yet in his mind the poor/sick need more. Just not from his wallet. Can you say hypocrite?

You're right let's re-elect a man purported to be one of the brightest Presidents in history yet won't release his college transcripts. A man who is constantly evolving going from a racist pastor to a gay bashing pastor to his current pro-gay, Marxist pastor. Kind of similar to watching the ball in a Olympic Ping-Pong match.

Or we can elect someone that won't release their tax returns becuase they are obviously hiding something while you and I pay our 28-30% a year. Let's vote him in becuase he will surely watch out for us middle class peons.

I just don't think Romney picks someone who overshadows him like that.

I think this could happen with Jindal too which leaves Pawlenty. That's who my money is on.

Mitt will pick someone on the bland side. Just sayin.

Makes sense but Rubio brings some latino votes to the table..and Jindal not a good speaker imo...Pawlenty is plain vanilla like Mittster, maybe too much so...like i said change the ex to Rubio/Romney and cash a ticket..:)

Or come to this country with $30 bucks and a willingness to work whatever hours and jobs it takes. Over the course of the last few years I've come in contact with almost a hundred if not more individuals who are making a million plus easy a year starting out broke.

And for all that hard work the people who slacked want a piece. Welcome to Socialist America.

Sad you've given up on the American dream but believe me it exists, has for a long long time and is now in danger.

And believe it or not, most if not all CEO's have worked MANY 80hr weeks in their lifetimes.

Too bad the head of the Oak Creek Sikh Temple isn't here anymore, but you'll probably get this man's money in probate court.

I have heard him speak often and, forgetting his politics, he is just plain AWFUL. He stumbles, stutters, pauses, and garbles his words so badly that he is difficult to understand. Besides that, he has no sense of the cadence of his speech at all. Needs to see that speech instructor in "The King's Speech."

He's pretty toxic in popularity right now for the party, are they going to do a Bush/Cheney and keep him from appearing at the convention in Tampa? You hear anything?

Your description could describe why he's not speaking, but they could still give him an early, daytime slot that won't get much coverage, if he's that bad.
