The other thing was they needed a star level layer that was willing to sacrifice numbers and not be "the man". Bosh for all the **** people give him was willing to take less than max money, give up stats and standing. There arent many players in the NBA that would give up any of those things let alone all three. His last season in Toronto he averaged 24-11. |

I would take moist Bosh over him. As for taking the shots... If I was a Knicks fan I would want Shumpert and Hardaway taking most of the shots. At least find out what you have in those 2 young guys. |

What a fkn troll RHT is.
His Kobe/Wade comparison is about as bad as he's ever gotten.....and that's saying A LOT! Not to mention going from calling Melo a superstar to now denouncing him with every chance he gets. The guy is only one of the top 4 at putting the ball through the hoop in the league. Makes me wish he never re-surfaced from one of his 8 dartings. At least Alabama Stakes is humorous. |
Put the jinx on Kobe. Out 6 weeks with fracture in knee

i guess that's as good a theory as any other, as to why they spent so much. with him out at least 6 weeks, does that have any affect on their cap? or would they have to move him to ir?
an achilles can never be as good as new, my sister had hers cut years and years ago. even with modern medicine, repairing a tendon is touchy-it's shorter than before, and will remain so. |
The Lakers basically sacrificed three years, this one and the next two. They are awful. And, this isn't 1988. Players aren't flocking to the Lakers (or Knicks or Celtics or Nets) because they are big market. Durant has shown you can be a mega-star pretty much anywhere if you are good enough. The new Buss has his work cut out, and will most likely be found lacking. He has already bungled every decision he has made.

It's not the Knicks, it's Carmelo. He destroys franchises.

The Nets can't catch a break. Brook Lopez lost for the season with a broken foot.

They still should have enough talent to win that train wreck of a division, but this is a long-term worry for their only young asset. Shades of Yao. |
