So what? As Sikura explained after Preakness, Quick Temper dropped 4-5 before she got Cloud Computing. If you acquire boutique mares, you're making a long term play.

Cloud Computing was a 250k yearling.. You need 10 individual foals to sell for 1.2 each assuming you bred to 100k plus stallion to break even. The mare has had two to enter the ring and the last one nobody REALLY bid on and as you certainly know the first couple of foals are the ones are most desired BEFORE others race. I am pretty sure if you ask anyone experts privately they will suggest same, that 10 mil for that mare will not pan out

You're making an assumption that she cares about a profit.

( PE was another of my all time faves. Her will to win against that big grey filly in her final race was spine tingling)

I hope she comes out of the Delaware ok. I have watched so much of her that I am concerned. As I said yesterday, she was not walking like her usual self after the race. I hope it was just my vivid imagination. She might not be able to handle her increased size from last year.

Songbird coming back to run in the Personal Ensign . Yippee !

Depending on who else enters, she might have a legit chance at hitting the exacta, given the way the track's played this year!

Rick Porter

Saw today that Songbird owner Rick Porter is winning his battle with cancer, now in remission and cancer free. Just in time to enjoy Songbird make her triumphant return to Saratoga in the Personal Ensign, who also crossed the finish line first in all her races.
