Should the owner of the Jeremy Rose horse be accountable for his actions? How about the trainer?

if you hire someone with a huge, long rapsheet, just how innocent can you proclaim yourself to be? there are trainers out there who don't have a list of charger longer than my arm; by the same token you have trainers who are dirtier than The Indomitables Drugs' favorite sock. so, if you hire one of these socks, you can't really complain when some of the funk rubs off on you, can you?

The only reason I ever said anything about Bubble Berry is because she was such an obvious case of a sprinter stopping in the 2nd turn of a route. You tried her again at a route. I'm not sure why, but I am sure you had some reason. Then, she won when you sprinted her, and she won again when you sprinted her. Damn if she didn't win a 3rd time when you sprinted her.

Cannon...please send all the babies to Scuds

Germans don't believe in wasting time drinking tea. There are much too efficient for this doddling. They also are smart enough to avoid getting their best players thrown out of the tournament. I doubt they give everyone on their team 225k just for making it to the quarterfinals of a tournament. I still can't believe the Head of the Turkish Soccer Federation was gunna sacrifice 1111 RAMS if they had beaten the Germans. Do you think PETA would have objected?

I would guess PETA is illegal in Turkey

SCUDSBROTHER 06-25-2008 09:50 PM

I ONLY KNOW ONE TRAINING METHOD TO INSTILL TEMPORARY SPEED IN ANIMALS. Feed them later than they would like. I got a dog that will jump almost to the ceiling when he is angry about not being fed yet. I doubt it transfers over to the horses.

Uh, yea, they barely do anything if women are killed by their husbands. So, I don't think they would be too worried about the way people choose to kill animals.

I guess there is some owner responsibility here . . .

An excerpt from the DRF article above

New Jersey passed rules allowing for out-of-competition testing in mid-October of last year. Since then, the state has drawn blood from horses trained by 15 to 20 trainers in the state, Zanzuccki said. Only one, the Standardbred trainer Ernest Adam, produced positive test results for EPO, one of two common blood-doping drugs. Adam and the owner of the horses, Steven Slender, were both banned for 10 years and fined $50,000. Slender has appealed the ruling.

Interesting. There we go. Owner responsibility.

Eric
