$84 for a hack like myself is a bit much. I calculate all my costs in relation to how many pk4's and pk3's that would have got me. Having said that, golf cost me a $72 pk4 and $12 pk3

not to mention winning the last skin with a natural birdie only to be fleeced by some Freehold regular

If you are looking for cheap, wide open golf near the track look into the Silver Dollar Golf and Trap Club:

http://www.silverdollargolf.com/course/

3 conjoined 9 hole courses that can be assembled into any manner of an 18 hole round, fairly forgiving

Trap Club are the key words here. Gpk, being a pro's pro, may not like the serenade you get from the bevy of 12ga shot guns going off adjacent to the 17th hole.

He's substituted morning walks with Grunder instead. Luis Garcia is somewhere in the neighborhood, but I suspect he may be avoiding the pool...

Only one Mrs Ex Bob sighting this year, the day she was delivering her insane amount of home baked Christmas cookies to TBD employess, regulars and horsemen (yes Golfer, Ernie Poxon got a bag of cookies). With the deliveries over, she retreated to her 600 page novel and grumbled for an hour when Ex Bob made her stay until the 8th race.

Kev, I don't think I can play Friday, but will gladly attempt Saturday. I'll be hitting from the senior tees with Tom...

The problem is, I brought it up like it was a foregone conclusion that I was going and a war ensued. I think the direct quote was that she hadn't been on vacation in over 2 years and I was going to gamble in Florida with a bunch of morons and David Wells for 3 days. I'm not sure how she found out or who she was actually calling a moron, but the net was cast kind of far. Although I was kind of impressed she knew who David Wells was. After the fact, I found out I'm going to St Louis on business, the Saturday before so I'm pretty sure my crap would be on the lawn by the time I came back from Tampa if I went.

I do have a Hail Mary, but that's all it is a wing and a prayer.

I remember Golf being long & expensive on the last day, the freakin Gatorades were like $6 a clip. It cost me alot that morning to shoot 172. :zz:

That was file footage for your wedding in case you did eventually meet Jill Byrne and she fell head over heels in love with you. It would have been nice to play at your wedding.

Eat up big boy, just stay away from the Eggs Benedict.

Yeah, you took it in the ass there, but I would blame the Golf Nazi who was in charge of all scoring while in Tampa. Although in his defense, he was probably worried about figuring out and settling the 73 side bets he had going.

Details....Details.....Ok, so There Is a shotgun range directly across the road. And they are ablastin' early and often this time of year.

You gotta learn to tune these things out.....

There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball. Be the Ball, Bigs. Be the Ball.

"...going to gamble in Florida with a bunch of morons and David Wells for three days."

While I know this has gone on during prior gatherings I figured we have all matured over the past few years. I thought this trip was about looking at pretty horses, taking a few pictures, maybe heading to the beach to see the sunset followed by quiet relaxing dinner and strict 10 pm curfew. Need to be well rested for the following day. If this is not the case, I may need to re-consider my attendance.

F&#k that, when do the show parlays start???

10pm might be an issue, usually a certain someone needs to make a beer run at about midnight. Supposedly it helps him handicap. :zz:

Right near the track, good reviews, reasonably priced. Play one course each day, that way we are close enough to the track for the day we decide to do the triple header (or Grand Slam for those interested in Hard Rock Casino after the puppy show).

Can we wear our Jorts on this course? I heard that was the recommended attire for this trip based upon previous ones.

Glad you asked and there is still limited hope but I have a question. You really ordered eggs benedict at IHOP? In all honesty I always felt badly that you were ill, I had no idea this was self inflicted. Jesus tap dancing christ,to quote Ateam, what where you thinking?

PS. I'm ok with golf once.

Matt,
If you would have let moron1,BT,and me stop by the house to facilitate the "bull durham" rainout the Friday before the Belmont you would already be out of the house. This wouldn't be an issue now.

I'm offering a guest bedrooms for you and your family and a Pirate game tickets for your "wife's vacation" in exchange for your attendance. Lol you better not offer that or your crap will be on the lawn.

Yeah, it was so early & and was just looking for a bagel shop/deli but couldn't find one. Then agin I only looked for about 5 mins before stumbling into IHOP. Compared to the half hour mission I went on looking for the dog track :zz:
In retrospect probably not one of my wisest decisions. I just hope that toilet I stuffed up, backed up and overflowed into the rest of that s.hithole. Pun intended.

Tommy, I am truly flattered by your offer. I am going to save a step and have a mediator make that proposal to my wife, this way it'll save me money going forward with the divorce. Don't get me wrong, I find the idea of going to Pittsburgh and staying at Casa De Koenig very appealing, but thinking Mrs. Math wont be to enthralled with the idea as she doesn't like the Pirates .

Being a PGA Member doesn't hurt either.

Knicks, no worries. There will be room. I'm getting you Thursday guys a minivan. Makes sense with 4 sets of clubs and other luggage. We be easier for triple header night too, as we can all cram in there for the trek to the dog track.
