Hasn't Boundary tossed a bunch of Sprinter type (grass) sorts that have been very good early and then fizzled out.. The colt has a handled the dirt well enough but I have more then a shadow of doubt that he just might be best between 7 and 8f's.. He hasn't taken a bad step but I remain a bit cautious.

This is the best.
I was waiting for my vehicle to get repaired, so I thought I'd open up the Big Brown Book. Much to my delight, what started out as a normal thread got boosted in the middle by the re-appearance of PG1985 (9 for 9) and the cherry on top is the late entry of the narcissistic ramblings of KRIM. Thank you, thank you one and all, for livening up what was otherwise a very dreary day for me. |

Easy Goer, wouldn't you take the time to know that? C'mon, you're better than that. |

I thought something was up when I saw Schoesburg as the quoted trainer. I figured I would let these two lovebirds go at it. |

I'll answer her question. It's not as much fun as giving her a hard time is but really, the question is not a hard one. She just asked simply who do you think will be a better horse, War Pass or Big Brown?
I go with War Pass. Really, it wasn't a ridiculous question as most are making it out to be. |

Nothing wrong with an awesome miler Rosie...You maybe right about the horse and wrong about the course and distance...Maybe he is Lure 2? |

Big Brown R5: 23.19 24.35 24.30 22.62 5.87 R7: 23.28 21.98 23.92 24.37 6.53 While he dropped the field when he accelerated, it's interesting that he didn't completely wipe them out, and some actually came back a bit (relatively) the last 1/16th. Of course, the maiden field was probably better than that he faced yesterday. But I think he was more impressive yesterday. |
from this point till he gets beat he wont see the turf imo

you have a crazy memory, that was like 7 months ago and you remember a post from back then.... |
Big Brown to the florida derby
as per IEAH...they said they want to give him more spacing to the KD than the BG would provide.

It seems that they have changed gears and are now going to the Florida Derby. Dutrow offered the following quote to DRF......
"We got to thinkin' and drinkin' last night, and, by the time we were done, we decided the Florida Derby would be the best option," said Dutrow, who trains Big Brown for the IEAH Stables and Paul Pompa Jr. After reading that I don't know why I don't have complete confidence in this horse moving forward. |

He beat a field of mediocre grass horses on the dirt. Lets not give him the Derby at this point. Hes certainly never ran with anything and wont like it when he does.
|
might be tricky proving you're the number one three year old if you don't get to run in the derby....big brown, 2 starts, 2 wins. 0 graded earnings.
war pass, a dual gr 1 winner and eclipse champion. big brown better get cracking if he's going to prove how much more talented he is than the 2 yo champ and millionaire. |
