Being war contractors has always earned big bucks and transferred tons of wealth. The Republicans know that, they love it, and have during the entire Bush W administration. We're Americans, we're proud. The rest of us don't like to look at ourselves in a realistic manner and see the flaws in our leaders. Let alone prosecute them.

How can you leave Obama out of this one? Aren't there still troops in Iraq coming home in body bags? Or are you still saying this is Bush's fault. Obama has the chance to bring the troops home, but he has no back bone to bring them home. Why would he care about the troops, he has never served a day in the military.

Why should the big company executives, the Presindent and the Congressmen and Senators get a big pension when they serve less time than a person in the military does? Just shows me how ungrateful you are towards the military. I hope some one you know that is serving in the military comes home in a body bag. Maybe then you will appreciate the military more. I see you learned how to spell military correctly.

I just had a chance to look up the national debt in regards to W. Bush and Obama. Interesting.

1/18/01 Bush begins National Debt $5.725 trillion

1/20/09 Bush leaves and Obama begins $10.626 trillion

1/20/10 End of Obama's first year $12.327 trillion

1/20/11 End of Obama's second year $14.056 trillion

Incidently today 4 months later it's $14.345 trillion

So under Bush in 8 years the National Debt rose a total of $4.901 trillion or an average of $0.612 trillion/year

Not so surprisingly considering Obama's giveaway budget (not some fraction of such) he has managed a $1.611 trillion increase in his first year and a $1.729 trillion increase in year two. A 2 year total of $3.34 trillion. Should he manage to continue at the same pace for the next 6 years with no increase, he's on target to smash Bush down with a $13.6 trillion increase to Bush's $4.901 almost three times as much. The theory that a dollar given away comes back at a $1.60 is David Blaine stuff. It's actually a dollar we finance and pay interest on.

Incidently the amount the budget has been raised from year to year is close to a direct correlation to the amount the debt has risen. Whatever bailout and stimulus packages that have been tried have failed miserably by both Bush and Obama.

Riot will want to see a graph of this. If you show her a graph she still wont believe it. Maybe the smell of the dog poo at her vet place has ruined her brain cells that she has left. The limited ones she has left.

My question had a better foundation than your "STFU".

Is being politically unaware on the same board more satisfying?

he's been serving the past 2 1/2 years as the Commander in Chief of the military. highest position. I'm sure Obama cares deeply about our troops. I personally feel that he has excelled as Commander in Chief and that its been his greatest attribute as President.

I do not agree with many of his fiscal policies, but I feel the most important role for a president is to be the leader of the armed forces, and Obama gets props from me for the decisions he's made. From keeping Gitmo open, to helping to stop apparent genocide in Libya, to making the right call on how to kill Osama (I'm very happy the order was to shoot on site and not have to go through years of Osama military trials and giving Osama a platform to send his messages). He's been an effective military leader, and I'm not ashamed to give credit where credit is due...

shoot, I also think Clinton has done an admirable job as Secretary of State.

if you really hope that Nascar, you have some major issues.

You should be ashamed at yourself for writing that. Do you know how many families have had to deal with the loss of a loved one? disgusting, dude.

Joeydb and Nascar1947639786254...the politically aware members of a horse racing message board. I really hope the right people are tuning into the Politics/Society section of the forum and they implement all your well thought out solutions...and as for Nascar's "I hope some one you know that is serving in the military comes home in a body bag" comment it's absolutely vile...so yeah STFU.

I posted two things that refute Dell's numbers - you and Dell have just ignored it.

You are a truly ignorant fool. Obama has already brought home over 100,000 troops from Iraq, and they will all be out within 8 weeks (July). Afghanistan is starting to be aggressively drawn down at the same time.

BTW, right now the President is speaking on the middle east - are you bothering to listen to what he's saying?

You think that only people that served in the military can care about our troops? How ridiculous. You're an un-American, un-patriotic idiot.

Besides, the conversation was about the defense contractors that were made rich under the Bush administration. You can't even follow a subject line. You post your off-the-wall nonsense that has nothing to do with what's being talked about.

STFU, Nascar.
