But then again if this question is a trap horses like Ghostzapper and Candy Ride raced so sporadically they were not often in positions to run a bad race. Ghostzapper won 9 races in 4 years of racing, it's hard to have a bad day when you race this infrequently. Comments?

what about a Cigar on the turf? wouldnt that really be his worst race?

He could finish last!

Pretty sure Skip Away had some clunkers early on in his 3yo season. I do not believe he finished well in the Derby.

Bernardini's worst race might win it.. though I do not know if he's on the list because I cant see the list.

I assumed we were talking about dirt, but yes Cigar was very mediocre on turf, just because I like you, if you haven't seen it there is a feature video on Bloodhorse on Cigar last I checked, it chronicles his racing career and life after racing. Bailey, Mott, and M Paulson all look back. I think you would enjoy it.

thats cool.. I'll check it out.

Started following racing in 96 so Cigar was the first "superstar" in my racing career.

Candy Ride shipped to California from Argentina.

Gentlemen as well, and he won the Pimlico Special.

As for Z, more likely the connections would drop dead.

Thats a sick race you put together, I would toss Bernardini out with Prado up.
So much speed, Z and maybe Victory Gallop? I dont know, what do you think? Is the track playing fair?
Narrow it down to a more reasonable BCC like 14. THen Ill give you the cold triple.

Point Given ....Invasor ...Holy Bull and Ghost Zapper....Tri Box

Could we get a ML on this race before making our choices? I would LOVE an educated opinion on the odds on this one.

The fastest closer and horse for course in the race. Left Bank and/or Formal Gold fill out the tri.

Well, considering we're talking about a 9f race and not a 10f one, I wouldn't bet against Formal Gold. He would be very difficult to catch going 9f based on his 1997 season.

Julio Pezua would clear and get to the rail on Caller One despite starting from the 25 hole with a short run into the 1st turn.

Rachel Alexandra would figure to get caught 17 wide the entire way around the first turn.
