I am sure he is a great guy but I really hope he didn't bet $2500 because of two guys who claim they won 30 out of 31. There are a lot of con artists out there that will take peoples cash and pocket it instead of betting it. I hope this wasn't the case. It actually is an old scam that people pull. It would be great if he was lying, but the reason I said just in case there is a 1% chance he really did bet with these guys is because they could be con artists. 30/31 is something a con guy says.

Just to let you know, offshore accounts won't take big bets last minute because they need time to have the opportunity to place the bet themselves if they feel a need to lay it off. Not much different from a bookie.

I'm bored too. *Yawn.*

I'm going riding tonight though, so that will be nice for a change. My friend Steph bought me a riding lesson for my birthday. :D

Scav 06-22-2006 01:12 PM

That is not true about offshore accounts. I place bets on Pinnacle WHEN THEY ARE IN THE GATE on TVG....

I believe Euro's story and here is why.

I don't know how long you've been around Exceller, but if you had previously read the above thread and if the 1 horse had come in today, you might have a different attitude about Euro's "story".

Euro.....keep posting the old man picks. I have faith.

You don't bet $7500 on a claiming race at Churchill, because they won't take it. That I am positive of.

Isn't it funny how that works? When I had "Three", I spent more time with him than my ex husband. LOL (He was better company too. :) )

The funniest thing on that thread is they won 17 in a row. Now they are up to 30 of 31. I guess today was just the end of the streak. LOL. Suckers born everyday. My favorite line though was "they don't care about odds". Man you guys are gullible.

It would be stupid to bet that much through Pinnacle unless the horse was 3/5 because you would get profit capped.

While I do not put through $1,000 bets on a consistent basis, I have put that amount through MULTIPLE TIMES on horses that were IN THE GATE that were 4/1 or better......

Cute story about the $1000 multiple bets, but unless you were betting the KY Derby, they won't let your account do it. You can bet $1000 but you can't do it multiple times on the same horse in a race. Try to do it and see what happens. If you are saying you bet $1000 on different occasions on different horses that is believable though.

You claim to be able to make a call and find out this or that. You know who did or didn't broker a horse deal. Sure. Just as sure as when you first say you're going to bet $250 on the horse, then it turns into $150 when it runs up the track. Uh huh, of course, sure. Uh huh.

How the hell do you know what an offshore book will or won't take in the last few minutes before post? Did you make a quick phone call on that as well?

How the hell do you know how/where/when these people placed their wagers? You're watching the money? Good keep watching. Take a look at the crystal ball / magic 8-ball / shrunken head, whatever.

You sound ****ing ridiculous. As you would say, so shall I ... on the 1% chance you know anything, I won't refer to you as a stupid ****ing idiot.

Aside from that, you're a great guy.

Trust me, nobody bet $7500 on any horse in the last minute. The odds barely move. Money was distributed just like any normal race. If you really believe this cute story about 2 old guys winner 30 out of 31, I have a bridge to sell you. I actually lost a few bucks on the horse.

New Awakenings in the 3rd is the chalky favorite though that they should have bet if they really existed.

Damn, chalk another one up in the show column
