Haven't followed SA today...how has the track been playing? Final time not great considering the fractions and quick times historically for the race.

Prep races have been poor betting races with small fields...think we might see a bomb come May, especially given the early speedsters.

That is a good question. With horses being so lightly raced today we really can't tell which one of these horses that have won on the engine can rate. You can't blame Garcia for going to the lead today considering that he had the 1 hole, he certainly didn't want to get buried on the rail.

You have to figure that one of the Baffert's are going to have to rate in the Derby and I think Dortmund can rate. He is going to be a serious contender in the Derby IMO.

He showed last year in his first two starts he doesn't need the lead. Unless he draws 1 or 2 I can't see him gunning it.
