Not only that, it often changes between races, particularly when a few turf races are thrown in between. Assuming the JCGC track speed was the same as the other dirt races is a pretty big leap.
So, wait, you're telling us that Ron the Greek wouldn't have beaten Borrego, who won his Gold Cup by eight lengths, by 20 lengths?

While this is slightly off-topic as to the BC, you have tweeted several times about the wide variances of run-up at Gulfstream. Has anyone approached them about this and what has their answer been?

They ignore me. They don't answer emails, and I get the run around when I call.

In three different tries, nobody can ever seem to figure out to whom my question should be directed. I suggested the track superintendent, or even the head of the gate crew, to no avail.

It was 1/9 this colt was finished. He never sees the track again gets retired to a stud farm and I you know it because we have seen play out the same way for years. I just don't hate on Pletcher to be a jerk. I realize he has only a handful of equals and is a world class professional. All that aside his horses run great until they don't and once they sour its Sabbath Shalom.

The only thing that broke was the colt. Let's not forget that until very recently UBS was the poster stallion for very fast fragile animals. That whole he didn't break well, tricky post position, KAKA was utter nonsense. Sure he didn't break well and now we know half of the reasons why. They patched him up and took a shot at JCGC. I guess they figured what did they have to lose right, now its to risky to further expose him.
