That would pretty much sum up the Zenyatta phenomenon.

Blind Luck could face Zenyatta in Lady's Secret

I dunno if I like this. Blind Luck and Zenyatta in the same race would give me and many others a heart attack. For medical reasons, they really need to be kept apart. I beg their owners to think of the fans. Also the overload at the hospitals. It's just too dangerous.

I think Zenyatta would beat Blind Luck, but I'm not sure her connections would agree with me. And by 'her connections', I mean Zenyatta's connections.

JS knows he has to carefully pick his spots with her.

Still remember that joke of a track which carried the distance-challenged LH to a second place finish in the Derby back in '04.

Wouldn't let the big mare anywhere near a strip like that if it was my call...

slotdirt 09-16-2010 02:41 PM

I can't remember what happened on Oaks day 2009. How did that track play? Were there any really nice horses running on that track? My memory is really deceiving me.

And gosh, I can't remember. Did Lion Heart ever win any GI races going a route of ground on a dry track? Again, memory is failing me horribly.

Yeah, getting the best of a monster like MSB on the MP speedway clearly proves that a horse is a legit router. lol

Loved when LH got exposed by that classic distance at Toga … just like RA did the other week…

A perfect record. Not that she will have that anymore if she meets BL.

You do remember that the 2004 Travers was run in a freaking monsoon, right?

Old article on BH.com said the heaviest stuff held off till just after the race … or well after LH folded like a cheap lawn chair on the turn…

I was there. It was run in a driving thunderstorm. It's obvious in the video.

Yes, but since it rained at a .01 inch per hour greater rate after the race, nothing else matters.

You forget whom you are dealing with.

slotdirt 09-17-2010 06:19 AM

I've just never heard anybody say that Lion Heart couldn't a run a route of ground, but then I remembered that we're talking about Smoothie King, who's watched 18 races in his life and thinks 3-5 are pretty juicy odds.

he lost a few, and he certainly never danced or bowed.

i think everyone understands what you're doing lately regarding zenyatta. i doubt anyone can blame you.

Smooth Operator 09-17-2010 08:08 AM

So what are you guys trying to say … that LH would've wired the Travers on a clear day?

Lol … maybe in one of Rock's dreams

Very clever sticking the word "blame" in there

Made my prediction for the BCC many months ago in the BC forum … and I wholeheartedly stand by it…
