Do you think you could beat him up?

Would you come up and challenge him?

Would you say somethiing like "hey man, i dont like the way you make fun of me on derbytrail. Im going to kick your butt".

Or

"see these blue and green chucks? Well, youre going to be seeing them really close here in a second"

or

would you just go up and punch him?

We are talking about a balance here.
There is no purely socialized society that has survived long either.
They also dont really exist imo.

No, pure Socialism will never work. It has a better chance to work in a homogenous group(tribe etc.) We don't have that. What I meant by "things you despise" is the stuff we normally disagree about(Healthcare etc.) Long ago, we made the choice in this country to make the medical profession a glamour job. What that did is destroy the chances for an awful lot of the citizens to be able to pay for all their medical care. We still want to think differently. We keep ignoring it. As a whole, a lot of Americans are simply unrealistic people. Medical Care is going to have to go into the shared risk column(whether we like it or not.) It's not affordable enough to be treated the way we would like to treat it(like food, cars, or T.V.) As it is now, we use highly skilled people(E.R. etc.) to treat diseases at an acute stage (in poor people.) It should be treated earlier. It's much less expensive to treat it earlier.

Geez Mort.

And such a proper woman wants an apology.
I do declare Mrs. Beauregard...

And Morton wishes to dress in costume.
ie something out of character...

I dont think we made it a glamour job. It is a high paying job because it is very important. But it requires people that actually care about the patient's well being. That got left out... not sure how.
Nurses certainly dont consider their job a glamour job.
I think the glamour comes in when a doctor becomes a specialist that
does not have to work very hard, or actually have contact with everyday
maladies in everyday people. Its much more fun to say you worked on
Manny's wrist, than I got an elderly woman to walk with no discomfort.

I think the age we treat people and prevention is very important like you do.
I dont want big money spent on people that would be my parent's ages while
youngsters go untreated.
