Dissenters, or dissenter? Its you and one other completely obnoxious poster.
What is the dissenting point of view to reflection on a list of horses who have gone down in action this year? Should we just forget them like yesterdays garbage? Why are you compelled every time to voice dissenting opinions on such a non-threatening, harmless, and respectful thread? You even managed to tie in politics in a clumsy way, as if this is a free speech issue.

Yes I know, the dissention is ostensibly based on the clutter that threads like this make. Thats also BS because the biggest example of board clutter is the 25 threads per week regarding the NYRA dilemma. I'm sure there are others like myself who couldn't care less, and without getting on a soapbox simply ignore the threads, rather than cluttering those threads with pointless dissention and complaints about clutter.

So as a dissenter you are making a free speech case, but the basis of your dissent seems to be "how many times do we need to be reminded of this?", which sounds like you want to limit the free speech of others. Sounds hypocritical to me.

Well I knew that you would at some point you would come to the rescue board superman. Let me get this straight.....people can post ridiculous things (like this thread) and not have others comment on it ? I thought that this was the purpose of a public message board. I find it rather peculiar (and predictable seeing how it is coming from someone like yourself who seems to whine and cry when someone takes a different view vs him) that you think a thread about dead horses is more interesting than the NYRA situation.

Actually, Jim, in your haste to once again rush to Mymissstormcat's unnecessary defense you didn't bother to really think this through. My post was directed to the people who criticized Beth for making the correct comment that this thread already exists ( and was started by the same person ). It's redundant. I don't particularly care that it was made, even though she has already made the exact same thread ( which is different, whether you like it or not, from posting new information as it emerges about NYRA ), but for others to attack Beth for bringing up what she did was BS. That's all.

As for the constant silly " Merry Christmas " references ( not by you Jim....and I'm not referring to you ).....believe it or not everyone here doesn't celebrate Christmas and to some of us it means absolutely nothing. Nothing personal, and I wish everyone the best no matter what they do, but " Merry Christmas " has absolutely no personal meaning to me whatsoever......nor should it.

Seriously, people. Let Andy enjoy his Kwanzaa in peace.

I haven't been around much recently, so I'm not too cognizant of the context here, but I think that both sides, the tree-huggers and the horse-haters, need to chill out. That is all.
