At long odds, Tungsten Strike and Lazer Sharp -- if it's dead or slow -- will be ticket fillers. Purple Moon's Caulfield Cup run sets him well for tonight.

At shorter prices, I'm negative on Sirmione -- no way he is hitting the board -- and Princess Coup. I'm sire-centric, and could an Encosta De Lago get run 3200m?

A little more than fours hours out from an exciting, exciting night of racing!

Enjoy the Nation Stopper!

well good luck.

I might make a small wager or two just for fun. Mainly I just plan on taking it all in, and doing my part to spread the "Nation Stopping" to this country.

What a shame for his connections.....

Injured and out. Hope he'll be okay.

where? i don't see any horse called Tacit Agreement on the card.

Riot 11-05-2007 06:52 PM

Oh, horrible breakdown in the third, Bay Story went down, Bling Bling over the top of him.

ArlJim78 11-05-2007 06:52 PM

god that was an awful spill. poor Bay Story.:(

Scurlogue Champ 11-05-2007 06:54 PM

My buddies were the grooms and exercise rider of Bay Story...

Terrible.

Tacit Agreement is in the Melbourne Cup.

Shipping from Calder

EDIT..

He's not. I got him confused with Tungsten Strike

He went down there and got beaten badly in a couple of races.

Riot 11-05-2007 07:06 PM

So sorry for your friends, they must be devastated. Please extend condolences.

Bling Bling apparently okay, just cuts. Jocks okay, but Mark Zahra may be off the Cup, Peter Mertens on Zahra's ride in 4th.

Rileyoriley 11-05-2007 07:08 PM

I'm going to try and stay up to watch the race on TVG. My trifecta is Master O'Reilly, Purple Moon and Mahler though not necessarily in that order.

robfla 11-05-2007 07:15 PM

wasn't Tacit Agreement the horse from CRC that was sold and was involved in a riding inquiry. He is a need the lead type horse and I guess that is not how horses are ridden in Australia. He had some serious health issues and I believe is now retired after getting drummed down under a few weeks ago.

ArlJim78 11-05-2007 07:30 PM

I went with Juste Momente in the fourth.

Riot 11-05-2007 07:33 PM

Congrats! Well done!

I haven't gotten bets down the last 2 races, I've tried to place just before post and Xpressbet is apparently too busy.

Think I'll get my Cup bets down now!
