Jets need to start Tebow vs Bills a team that has packed it in and can't stop a mobile QB if their life depended upon it. He will easily put up a 100 yds rushing and probably will torch them for a few TD's. After he does this the Bills being the team with the most inept front office in football will probably offer the Jets a draft pick for him and install him as starter next year. Just thinking out loud.

Tomorrow is a home game and Mrs. MaTH's brother, fiance and kids are coming over. My mother in law will be present too. The liquor cabinet is full and I plan to start drinking as soon as the boys open their gifts. Please pray for me. |

and supposedly rex will be back for another season. i'm surprised by that. but, i have to wonder if it matters who they get to coach. the owner seems to be the real issue.

Jets announced they fired GM Mike Tannenbaun and are keeping HC Rex Ryan. |

Lovie Smith fired as well.
The only problem I have with what the Jets did, is that the one guy who didn't hold anyone accountable for their performances, wasn't held accountable for what transpired this year. Tannenbaum was originally Parcells' "Capologist", and was elevated to the GM's job without much background in talent evaluation. Certainly the people he relied on to make those decisions are at fault also. What the Jets need to do is hire an Offensive assistant head coach, to handle the offense, and play bad cop, to allow Rex to deal with the defense, and play good cop, which appear to be his strengths to begin with. |
With so many coaching vacancies, one has to think that half of the teams needing a HC will miss on their next choice. Here's to the Birds not being one of them.
Sad day in Philadelphia sports history. |

What sane organization would hire Norv Turner? The guy is a proven loser with too many chances already.

i figure reid will land in a good spot relatively quickly. most of the others do need to return to and remain in a coordinator position. if i was with the saints or rams i'd be calling lovie.
|
I would think the Colts will need an OC next year too.

At this point, I believe that the NY Jets owner has to go...
Can't believe that Rex is still head coach - -great defensive coordinator, but clueless as a head coach.... |

shanahan was a good coach when he had elway. then elway left and he became a not so good coach, and was fired.. now he has griffin, so suddenly he's a good coach again. |
No suprise, Sparano out as offensive coordinator.
|
Is there any past history of keeping the head coach and firing just about everyone else in the front office and the coaching staff working? I'm not taking a shot at the Jets or Ryan but I can't remember this type of thing working out.

At this point I just wish Woody Johnson would sell, because he is as much the problem as any. He has no idea what he is doing. |
