WHAT DID EXHALE GO OFF AT? Badly wanted to play him,but the trainer is just not a 10f guy.He gets my prize for best stride.

The site isn't working for me either. I believe Exhale was 27/1 with 2 mins. to go.

It was really annoying. The Derby "Final Odds" were up for a minute or two, then it switched to the Oaks' odds, which were still in progress. I tried to get a "print screen" save of the Derby odds, but it didn't work.

Also, in the past they would show you the amount bet on each horse, which helped. You could tell whether a "5-2" was really 2.50-1 or maybe 2.99-1. And the old way had the horses name next to the betting number. This year was a major step backward in regard to presentation of information.

I think in the past the odds were shown by TVG. This year it looks like it was (mis)handled by Churchill itself.

I agree, Churchill did a bad job this year, including advertising it.

I agree. It was a pain in the a$$ trying to remember the horses #'s or having to go back time and time again to match the names with #'s.

Anybody here take those 157/1 odds on Out of Gwedda?

Rupert Pupkin 02-12-2007 01:26 AM

I didn't even bet on Pool #1. I didn't even realize that it was this weekend because I checked the TVG website and they didn't even have it. I assumed that it was next weekend and not this past weekend. It turns out that TVG simply did not offer it this year. This is the first year that TVG did not offer betting on Pool #1.

hrtv seems to really be putting a hurting on tvg...i had hrtv on all wknd, i think it checked out tvg once or twice.

Looks like they put up the raw data from the tote system this year. That's pretty much how a racetrack gets it's odds and prices from the tote system. The video department usually spruces it up a bit when they present it to the public on the TV's.

I agree it looked a bit cheesy compared to previous years.

YouBet didn't offer it, either. I emailed them about it on Thursday, and they said something about "contract difficulties". It ticked me off, because I was counting on that to bump up my monthly average there.

Took 44-1 on Forefathers and 33-1 on Liquidity. Not at all impressed with odds on other contenders twelve weeks out. Feel those two have a shot at not only making the gate but contending

Danzig 02-12-2007 07:42 AM

as for why some aren't offering the futures betting, seems to be difficulties with the whole deal, so i can imagine they're limiting those who can offer it. when i say difficulties, i mean that horses were still being offered in the first pool that were retired-and then they had to go back and cancel on at least two of the horses.
