In short, if the very enthusiastic and supportive Bernie crowd continues to see their guy win primaries, and yet, somehow, due to super delegates, he does not come up with the majority and the nomination....people could react emotionally. This is understandable since not everyone understands the esoteric rules.

Hillary got the same delegates for New Hampshire as Bernie, and he beat her by 22 percentage points. Do that a few times and this will get tense.

Now the reverse is true - if Clinton starts really winning, then the will of the primary voters in the states and that of the delegates will not be misaligned, and all will be fine in the Democratic party. But a misalignment is a possibility from where we are now, looking forward.

I agree with what you are saying regarding the rules but I don't see much fire in the belly of Bernie Supporters. They are too busy Tweeting, taking selfies and hooking up on Tinder.

Of course you could be right, especially when it comes to the amount of motivation they might or might not have.

Of course they might, but as of right now there is a conflict between the apparent will of the people of the party and the superdelegates. Everything I pointed out was predicated on that continuing too long.

Not so fast. Sanders has won 19 states, while Hillary's unfavorable numbers - particularly with working class white males (who vote, religiously), are at an all time high for a Dem candidate.

Would not be shocked in the least to see DNC go to Obama, tell him it's time, Lynch then gets the nod and the DOJ moves forward, by the Democratic Party's hand - in order to install Biden at the Dem Convention to fight it out with Sanders...and you know who wins that (Spoiler - Not feeling the Bern).

If I were Trump's campaign, I would have a back up game plan for Biden to come out of Philly with the candidacy.
