there are a lot of good stallions out there including Seattle Fitz but you don't see them in the select sales for commercial reasons...i'm looking forward to the preferred sessions coming up at Saratoga and the open session to.

Me too... Buck Pond Farm has quite a line up in my opinion.

Im in love with a filly in the upcoming sale. If she goes for nothing im going to be on suicide watch.

Also, anyone check out the Sept Kee cat yet? Im seriously thinking of using all my b-day money and left over scholarship money and buying a filly. Anyone have a backyard where I can tie her up to a tree?

I was just suggesting that this particular filly was not the absolute best physical specimen at that sale, and if her sale was legit, it had as much to do with getting a filly from that family as anything else.[/QUOT

looks like a friend signed the ticket.

No, Courtlandt Farm signed the ticket. I'm sure Will Farish has a lot of friends in the industry; are you implying that he has participated in something underhanded? Sheikh Hamdan was the underbidder. If he had signed the ticket, would you be saying that a "friend" did? I don't understand why it's so hard to believe that this filly would have gone for as high as she did. You may not like her, but more than one person did, and I rather doubt that every single person viewing this filly had nothing nice to say about her looks.

I think it's a matter of opinion about conformation. It's very hard to see what she looked like because the video streaming is no where near as good as seeing her up close and personal. Based upon the video streaming, I wasn't impressed with her. I don't think anyone was saying that NOBODY at the sale liked her. Evidently, she was liked if she was bid on as high as she was.

The Saratoga vid is horrendous. Its not so much the quality of the video that bothers me (Kee isnt much better) but its the angle of the video. You really cant asess a horse properly from a video, but that angle makes it damn impossible.

Either way, she would be a shining jewel in anyone's broodmare band.

Yes, I couldn't get a good view of any of the yearlings......not close up by any means.
