Desert Key got away with a very easy first quarter. He might be a very nice horse, he wasn't awesome yesterday, but he has a little way to go before he it is really fair to compare him favorably to J Be K ( who I'm still a little dubious of though he ran well yesterday ).

Zaftig is a nice horse and the Mother Goose is threatening to be a corker.

i was shocked with how good pays to dream ran again.... i was against him..
i rated at least 5 horses in that race higher then him, very impressed with the ny bred.

Pays to Dream has turned into a very good horse.

His performance in the Saranac at Saratoga last summer was exceptional all things considered.

Gary's an "any cuisine" type of guy. Don't get me started on desserts. Speaking of Pays to Dream does anyone know what happened to him yesterday?

I really can't believe he was 11-1. I played him and Strike a Deal pretty hard. I was thinking - with a horse like Pays to Dream - does the morning line end up determining how people read his last performance? If he's 4-1 on the ml instead of 8-1 does he still go off at 11-1?

I was thinking about that today as well. I figured he'd be 6-1 at the highest. I was as suspicious of the Dixie as anyone, but still thought that 11-1 was ridiculous.

To me he was very impressive, he's improved enormously in the last 6-7 months...

Desert Key did indeed get away with a soft quarter, but I still was impressed with how easily he disposed of Accredit, who also was on that modest quarter.

Accredit, despite my mistaken opinion this winter, is not much horse to say the least.

Do you think she'd be up to the Mother Goose, if Proud Spell and the Godolphin filly Music Note show up there? In the rather modest Nassau County, Zaftig looked dead on the turn, but the race fell apart in front of her and she went on to win. And my take from the Acorn was more a negative on Indian Blessing (and the other two fillies that didn't show up) than a positive on Zaftig.

no he's not, but it is kiran and he was in good form, and desert just ran away from him.
