While I've thought plenty of things you have said are ridiculous this is one I definitely agree with. She was a shell of her former self and unless she moves way up in her next race she deserves no more mention than whatever crappy stakes Brass Hat is running in.

The assertion that Wicked Style was taking a "huge drop in class" is very primitive, inaccurate and not shared by any competent handicapper. BBB

Is it at all possible to get a full "rehash?" Of this race? Of the American Idol season? Your breakfast today? I'm jonesing bad for a rehash.

BC Juvenile to an N2X allowance.

Not a drop... right.

On the surface, that's correct. But what if a horse was vastly overmatched in his previous race and it wasn't a correct indication of his class? For example, Rick's Natural Star. Remember him? Just because he ran in the BC Turf didn't mean that he was of that level and so if he had come back in a claimer next out, would he have been taking a class drop or would it have been a case of going back to where he belongs?

I get what you're saying, you don't earn bonus points for getting blasted in a higher class race, but that's a pretty extreme example, KG. Wicked Style was the 3rd or 4th choice in the BC Juvy off a G1 win, not some ridiculous joke of an entry.

Goodness, you too now? I wasn't agreeing with that guy or talking about this instance. I was talking in general. A friend of mine always uses that same logic in his handicapping. He'll look at the pp's and see the company line and say "he's been running with xx and xx so he's way better than these" and I sometimes have to remind him that he wasn't running with them, he just happened to be in the same race. He was beaten by 42.
