and you were right. no one picked last correctly.

looks like pete mugg came closest out of those who chose big brown as the winner...he had bob black jack.

Wouldn't this be the winning selection? Didn't get either right, but was closer in total.

i don't know to be honest with you. last year there was a clear winner, both horses picked correctly.
so i don't know if i should work with who was closest, or who had the winner and not the loser, but was closest to the loser.
no one had the loser right out of all the picks.

Surely I won, the horse I picked to finish first was actually last. Monba lost me a pretty good chunk of change

Big Brown 05-04-2008 01:03 PM

Pete Mugg should get the win. The 'close on both' argument is weak. You had it right.

Danzig 05-04-2008 01:39 PM

i just thought that going by who had half right, and was closest to the other half would be the best way to declare a winner....and like i said, no one had the loser half, but a few had the winner half.

or do like the track? if you hit half of an exacta bet, you lose. but i don't want to not have a winner.

I agree with your rationale. It was a two part contest, and unless you had half of it right, your done, then it goes from there. JMO.

Danzig 05-04-2008 03:20 PM

ok, i think i'm calling it in petes favor.
pete, please pm me your addy. also, if you would , go to bloodhorse and pick out an 8x10, let me know which you want, so i can place an order. and congrats!!!!

PeteMugg 05-05-2008 04:54 PM

Another fun contest on this board, thanks Danzig. I only hit one of two ... but that's one more than I usually can pick.

PeteMugg 05-13-2008 03:06 PM

Thanks

Danzig, just got my picture, thanks again.
