The thing I don't like about this contest is that there is someone that has a $411 dollar total while mine isn't even half that. Feel like a handicapping genius in this contest though compared to my play at Saratoga where I was a whopping 1 for 34 and that one was the even money favorite.

you know, I didn't see that before! But here is where I got my information, in the legal mumbo jumbo section of the rules:

At the conclusion of the Handicapping Challenge on Saturday, October 31, after the last live race, the player with the most Challenge Dollars in his or her imaginary bankroll will be declared the winner and will win his/her choice of a Grand Prize-(1)-a day at the races during the Spring 2010 race meeting (table for four in the Bluegrass or Equestrian Room; plus food and beverage-excluding alcohol, a gift bag, and a behind-the-scenes tour; any race day EXCEPT Saturday) or (2)-merchandise selected by the contest administrator from Keeneland Gift Shop. The Grand Prize winner also will win an online subscription to a selected Equibase or Trackmaster Product. Players who place second through tenth will win a gift selected by the contest coordinator from the Keeneland Gift Shop. Winners will be notified within three weeks of the contest close about collecting their prize.

no where in there does it say anything about $3,000. Now I don't know which end is up!!!

Also another thing I hadn't noticed before, is that each DAY a winner is selected to receive a fabulous gift shop prize. And all those times I finished in 2nd I had no idea just how close I was to being a winner.

5 days left to shoot for one of the prizes. If you are in the running for the Grand Prize, I suggest you contact Keeneland ASAP to confirm just how excited you should be.

thanks, think I ended up in 24th, took shots on sleepers last few days and couldnt get any, it was fun though

Finished in 18th with $ 303.00.

Had a blast. Place prices need to be given to winners. On my two biggest priced horses, horses ran second paying $25.00+ (tack on they were worth double), so I gained no real advantage with hitting with a horse like Satan's Quick Chick.

Can't wait until spring.
