So assuming Music Note and Little Belle are coupled again could we see an Alabama with only two betting interests? With the Hathorn carded the next day it is tough to imagine anyone running for fourth.

At least Acoma, Sky Mom, and Sweet Vendetta aren't eligible for the Hathorn so there is hope for an exciting 3 betting interest race.

Acoma was second in the Monmouth Oaks last weekend so don't expect her this weekend.

And Sky Mom ran on the 2nd in Chicago so would seem extremely doubtful. If Sweet Vendetta passes we could really end up with two betting interests.

And let's wait to see if Skylighter and Mushka wind up in the Sunday race.

Use extended rails on one of the courses and run on it when you'd typically take the races off. You'd have a course you'd beat up but that you could use for the rain days and you'd have a pristine course for the 'BIG' races (as few as these might be these days). The only reason this hasn't been done before is that, to the best of my knowledge, SAR and BEL are the only tracks with 2 turf courses. Put them to use. Stop wasting my time. WTF are we saving the courses for, winter polo?

I'm sure there would be lots of guys wanting to run nice horses over a 'sacrificed' turf course. Surely you wouldnt complain about the rides you got from jockeys afraid to let their mounts run over a beat up course(if they would even ride over it at all). Sometimes I think Sumitas sent you his secret stash...

And the Ballston Spa draws 5 entrants while the Old Red draws an overflow field. Brilliant. You can't have $200,000 stakes and then create competition for them and expect anything but small fields.
