Just looked. That's a GOOD horse. A little short for my taste though anything close to the ML of 5-2 and he feels like a major bet. Thanks again for pointing him out. That one appears to have a real future.

It looks like Dominican, the one right inside of him, is the only legit competition on paper at a glance.

Gulfstream's Friday preceeding the BC and Sunday after the BC were by far the best cards of any BC weekend (did not attend their first BC, but the last two were this way). Each day featured multiple (at least four) six figure stakes created just for the weekend. Also had several allowances, don't remember if they even had a claiming race, if so, it was a high level one. The Euro's brought their second strings and ran them on the grass both Friday and Sunday a very nice way to sandwich the BC.

My first BC was in '92 at Gulfstream. After that nice three days of racing, I incorrectly assumed that all venues did this. Unfortunately the CD friday and, I'm assuming Sunday's card have been more the norm. I've attended BC's at Santa Anita, Hollywood, Churchill, Arlington and Woodbine and their friday/sunday cards have been similar(stakeswise) to what we are getting this weekend.

I don't understand what the complaining is about. Friday is not the Breeders Cup; Saturday is. So what if they want to run a open 5K or a 10K NW2. Does anybody really believe that all of the 10 or 12K claimers at Belmont or Hollywood are worth that? A lot of the horses in those races would be running for 5000, if those tracks carded at that level. I don't like when tracks load up one day with stakes and sacrifice 3 or 4 Saturday cards in the process.
