6-1 on Court Folly? What am I missing? Other than the weight there is nothing to not like here.

Coach Pants 10-13-2006 04:22 PM

I'll take Latent Heat.

I get the feeling that they are going to try something cute with Lewis Michael on BC Day. They are going with Dreaming of Anna anyways so they might nominate to the Sprint or the Mile...I don't know

It was one of those "About 7 furlong races" at Keeneland. Not sure what the 15 and 1 translates to.

1:24.3 was the track record for "about 7 furlongs" on the old track. They went 1:24.38 here.

If it was "about 7 furlongs" it would have said it, just like every other time that was the distance. Maybe the timer was wrong for 6 or something. It is difficult to believe.

Well the chart says "about 7 furlongs" and considering they finished in 15.1 I think we know which one is correct.

Good enough.

SniperSB23 10-13-2006 10:43 PM

So according to the bloodhorse article the race was 7 furlongs and 184 feet which would compute to 7.28 furlongs. Since they went 15.25 for that last 1.28 furlongs that means Midnight Lute averaged a scorching 11.91 seconds/furlong at the end. This after running six furlongs in what would be the track record. I have a feeling we will be seeing the new high Beyer on polytrack in this one.

repent 10-13-2006 11:47 PM

man are you kidding me.

this track just completely reverses form for horses.

I dvr trackside live and Im about to watch.
I dont even want to.

Why even run a good horse like Latent Heat on this crap?

Repent
