A simple "you're right" would have sufficed. The year Bo made the all star team, he was deserving. He finished 4th in HR's, 4th in RBI's, 10th in runs scored and 10th in stolen bases in the American League.

Bo Jackson was a career .250 hitter who struck out a lot, but could run, throw, and hit for good power.

He edged Iowa QB Chuck Long in one of the closest Heisman votes ever his Sr. year.

Bo wasn't even a top 10 finalist for the Heisman as a freshman, sophomore, or junior.

Nike did a great job inflating his reputation. There certainly have been much better baseball players and there certainly have been better college running backs.

Every single season Herschel Walker had in his 3 seasons at Georgia were all better than Bo's best season at Auburn.

The point was that he was pretty good at both. Good enough to be selected to an all star team in both.

I don't recall saying Bo was the best anything other than athlete of our lifetime. Of course there were better baseball and football players. Just like there have been better football players than Moss. Even if Moss was all state in a few sports in West Virginia.

Admit it...seeing KG and DB1985 agree with you has to at least make you rethink, right?

Yes, but the all powerful Randy Moss agrees with me.

Which makes null everything anyone else says on the matter.

I don't know if he is the best athlete, but Iverson was the Virginia state player of the year in football and basketball...as a junior. He would have been an interesting QB in the nfl.

If You see a more freakish athlete than Lebron James, please let me know. I have never seen a combination of size, speed and grace in any sport that is even close.
