No ... you just thought you were ...

... that's something way, way beyond your capabilities.

Bumping this thread up ... to give Mike a chance to see and respond to my Post #26.

It's a rare opportunity for him ... to see that he can occasionally misread something.

Mike = 99 and 44/100 % pure ... this thread was the other 56/100 %.

Danzig,
Don't be embarrassed.
The real question should be if Bold Fraud has changed out of his August underwear yet. Yeah, we're a few days past the "change date", but my guess is that he's having a tough time finding enough bottles and cans to cash in so he can feed the washer at the laundromat.
And then there's the dryer! Wet ones must really su-k!
People haven't been driving much with all the rain and gas costs in NY.
Brooklyn took a big hit from Ernesto. At least it's dry under the bridge, but now that the police are on to his "digs", it might be back to the subway.
Life is tough.
Dahoss said it best...what credibility?
Does anyone want to buy a slightly damp refrigerator box? It will be on e-bay very soon, unless Bold Fraud's librarian kicks him off again.
Libraries are dry! Then again, so are subways...sometimes.
LOL!!!

No need to be embarrassed ... lots of other folks do much, much worse from time to time ... but ...

... I still can't get Mike to bite about my post #26.

OK ... time to git along.

Go back and re-read my post ... I said straight-out that the experiment was a "significant success" ... without their resorting to gimmicks like free T-shirts.

Where do you see "bashing" in that? Praising and bashing are opposites.

Besides which ... I'm the one who created this thread ... then bumped it up when it didn't get sufficient attention. All the news on this forum about the experiment being a success is a direct result of my efforts.

Look ashamed ... look very ashamed.

BB,
It was the very title of the thread which had negative tones.
You can't really be serious can you?
You title a thread like that and then say with a straight face that you had nothing negative in mind?
Now please, I didn't grow up in a house with a lot of lead paint.

Hey, Mike ...

... good to see a response ... I was getting worried about you.

As far as the thread title ... it's called metaphor. I used "twilight" in both its literal sense ... the name of the experiment ... and its figurative sense ... a symbol of impending decline.

If it failed ... it may not have been "Twilight For Saratoga" ... but it surely would have been "twilight" for the experiment. But it didn't ... and I alliteratively deemed it a "significant success."

So ... you see ...it wasn't negativity ... it was creativity.

Gee ... us poets ain't never given the appreciation we deserve.

By the way ... that "lead paint" line was a very clever figure of speech on your part.
