Great to have you here.. Once we get through tomorrow, Toga arrives post haste..

Hello Everyone

This is my first post on this site ... though many of you may know me from my brilliant, insightful and witty observations on other thoroughbred racing sites.

I had 1776 posts on the old ThoroughbredTimes forum ... and about 5000 on the now-maudlin Horseracingtalk forum ... which has been taken over by hysterical, bitter hags and mincing girly-boys.

My good pal ... and insightful commentator ... Dixie Porter ... recommended this site to me ... and if Dixie says it's good ... I'll take it to the bank ... at least until proven otherwise.

I just returned from three weeks overseas ... and my e-mailbox is brimming. Once I get caught up ... I'll be back.

You'll be ever-so-glad to have me here.

Hello Derby Trailers. I am new to this forum, but I am savy to the old timer that calls himself Dixie Porter. Believe me, the man knows his stuff. HE trained Bobby Frankel how to tie his shoes. From then on, Bobby was by Dixie's side day in and out, running around the Belmont backstretch. Sometimes, Bobby would be running so close to Dix, if Dix would stop short, Bobby would get his head stuck.... well you know. Anyhow, I will be back to give you some interesting tidbits about old Dix.

Hi there. I'm 23, male, 5th year college student... haha but I'm trying.

Looked like this might be a good place to share my fancy of horses, since it is hard to find places where it is okay to admire the sport's great beauty.

And it looks like we also have some beauties of the human variety here as well.

resplendentdapples 06-10-2006 10:39 PM

Hi All!
I'm 37, from the home of thorougbreds, Kentucky (right outside of Cincinnati!)
I have 3 kids- 14, 10, and 8, and my husband isn't interested in the horses so I take one of them at the time. We LOVE to take pictures! If you have any good ones of current stakes winners, please email me and we can trade!

Hi everyone. I'm a little shy, so I really don't want to give out any personal info on here.

This place looks like fun and I hope I blend right in.

Greetings all. I'm new on this forum, although I've been beating the game of horseracing for decades. This seems like a fine place where I can impart my wisdom to all of you in the hopes that you will learn something valuable pertaining to the wonderful sport of thoroughbred horseracing.

You'll be hearing from me.. LATER ! eek:

flowing tail 06-11-2006 08:19 PM

Oh yeah and I thought I should mention since nobody seems to be getting it. My name is a double entendre, do you get it?

I have been known to be pretty smooth with the ladies i.e. the tail flows freely lol. And of course the regular meaning b/c I like the beauty of horses when I'm at the track taking pictures.

I have been but don't get there as often.

Although I was thinking about maybe taking a trip there later this summer. Do you go to Del Mar because I bet you look pretty hot if you do.
