Bad luck or not, someone please rename 176.

Lucky guess. 2967 wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

Rats, the Street Cry-Oonagh Maccool is out. Now I get to wait to see if the full to Curlin stayed in. Hip 194.

Sightseek 09-13-2010 08:45 PM

This filly is beautiful.

The 3/4 to Secret Status and Alumni Hall? Yeah she was a heartbreaker.

Wait a minute, the AP Indy-Private Gift was RNA at $1.25 mil? Whoa. Didn't know that. Just found it on the Keeneland sale results site.

http://apps.keeneland.com/data/sales...ecentSession=Y

What's it mean with the link to "submit a bid"? Why would you be able to do that if that particular hip is past?

Rudeboyelvis 09-13-2010 09:11 PM

My Bad Folks.... Spice Island colt going for 120K.. was rather odd looking

An approved buyer can try to make a bid with the owner of the horse to buy it for less than the RNA amount.

Ah, okay thanks. I didn't know they did that. Does it still count against Keeneland's RNA numbers, or do they amend anything to indicate it sold after all?

Indian Charlie 09-13-2010 09:18 PM

Easy money.

Take any mare, breed it to Mr. Greeley, get a filly, and sell it at this sale.

I think it still falls under a private sale. You will see ads from the consignors after the sale trying to sell the RNAs too.

Hip 205, the Pulpit-Summer Raven filly, half to Winslow Homer, is so adorably tiny. She looked like the world's cutest 4-H pony. Went for $140,000. Summer Raven weanling was on the grounds and the mare's back in foal to Unbridled's Song so that'll give us a full to WH next year. Is Summer Raven being sold in the breeding stock sale, or were they just sharing relevant info for the family?

Indian Charlie 09-13-2010 09:26 PM

Ap Indy Take Charge Lady colt for 75k.

Yikes.

It's an expression, she's not selling at this sale at least.

I think 212 is out of a half sister to Mr. Greeley, so that should be fun too.

I'm not sure which yearlings have videos and which don't, but 14 ($4.2 mil) and 96 ($2.05 mil) are available on youtube. Here's Hip 96: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESoYgfqMvR4 and if you look at the other clips for that user, you'll see some more.
